This property is truly unique, as the owner built it by hand. It was beautiful and clean, and had a certain charm you don’t find often. Would definitely recommend!

The property is super beautiful and the owner is super helful, nice and happy. The whole house full of happiness from owners family to neighbour and the guest. I had littel trouble finding the property but owner picked me up from the tourist center of that area, and I appreciate that. If any suggestion, put a sign or two at the major road and the turn(just like another bnb place next door) but I am surw he will do it soon.

this charming, hostel-like property has a warm, personal touch, as the owner built it himself with great attention to detail in the cabins and shared spaces. traveling solo, i always felt safe here. communication was clear, and the owner was incredibly helpful and approachable. while transportation and dining options in the area are limited, you can connect with taxi drivers in the bayahibe city center who will happily arrange pickups for you.

The hotel is located in an area where you cannot walk anywhere and drivers are not able to find the location- making it unsafe, no street lights either. If you want to go to Bayahibe it’s a 10 minute drive but you’ll have to walk to the side of the road for a driver to locate you or have the owner take you and he will make up his own prices, as no pricing is listed. NOTE- the owner stays on the property so everything you do is under supervision. They do not give guests access keys so you’ll have to wait for the owner to let you in or use a key they put under a rock. Room cleaning is not included. If I were you, spend the extra money and stay at an actual hotel actually located in Bayahibe, not Botijuela, or you will be stuck for the duration of your trip or have to pay for transportation every time you want to do something. Policies are not included in booking and owner will make up his own.
