"Comfortable hotel with friendly staff. Well located for ferry port and train station, with tram to both for the less energetic. I checked in late Sunday afternoon which meant reception was not staffed, but intercom provided all information to get in and access key card. Very comfortable bed and perfect pillows. Shower was small, but then I'm quite large! Water temperature regulation was very sensitive. Overall a good stop over"

"The property and views are simply stunning. I had a week here with the family and we all absolutely loved it. Great apartment, very spacious with everything you need plus a great pool thats just the right temperature. The 15 minute walk up to the old town or down to the beach is very good exercise although not recommended if you don’t fancy steep inclines (There is a regular bus or 5 minute taxi ride if you prefer not to walk). Paolo was super helpful and gave us a wealth of local information...

"The apartments are well situated and the owners very friendly. We didn’t stay very much as we went out with family morning to evening but my partner said it was the most comfortable bed of our 3 hotels we stayed. "

"Great quiet spot on beach. A bit of walk to town but easier than trying to find parking and it’s a nice walk along ocean. We had a great room with huge windows looking towards ocean. The communication was not good. Had troubles finding the place and no responses to my inquiries The kitchen worked well "

We went for 1 bed room cot was provided for little one(check about them charging you for this - they waive it for us but otherwise 30€ a week). "This property is ideal for a quiet break. the gardens and views are really remarkable. The area is so quiet. Its probably not so great with children as there are 200 steps to town or same to beach otherwise its taxis which cost a bit. Breakfast was great for the view, pehaps a little pricey for the content. Beers and wines from reception were great value. The nearby beaches are very crowded.The town of Catania is beautiful, less busy at night than daytime. The theatro is splendid. Would come...

"We were given a room with no view of the ocean at check in, even though I was sold an ocean view room. It appears many of the rooms at the hotel have their view obstructed by a building in front. The front desk originally objected, but we were finally given a new room after waiting for an hour and it had a better view. "

"Séjour très décévant. Nous avons passé 3 nuits dans unappartement sans aucun charme sans luminosité. Il fallait grimper sur le muret pour apercevoir le ciel. "This hotel is right on the sea so I would recommend taking a sea view room. They have big suits that are very spacious. We took the best room comprised of a large bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, living room, and media room. All of those were a decent size so it felt like living in your apartment. "Residence Margi made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable. You do need a swim cap for the pool (a requirement), and you should absolutely use the driving instructions the hotel gives you so you don’t get stuck in an alleyway."

Villa Belvedere Review

"I upgraded to one of the studios which was a new experience for me but I enjoyed the view, the privacy, and having access to a kitchenette where I could keep snacks and whatnot. Maybe because they were refurbishing, but I was disappointed that there wasn’t a restaurant or bar on site to get a quick breakfast. The staff were very friendly and very accommodating."

"Great hotel and the restaurant was outstanding. High recommend anyone who is looking to take the ferry to Messina the hotel is just a few steps away from the ferry option. Metro is close by for further discovery of the city. Hotel staff willing to assist and recommend. Outstanding crew!"

Charming hotel on the cliffs of Taormina

"Villa Taormina and its hosts are as charming as the eponymous town. Our room was lovely and sizeable, easily able to fit a cot for our teenager. The beds were so comfortable -- critical after a day of hiking up the local cliffs. Our room's balcony opened onto a sweet garden area with a pool. The abundant breakfast buffet was served in a bright, balconied room on the top floor looking over the sea and Mt Etna. Our hosts guided us to the best local restaurants, regaled us with stories about the history of the hotel and the town, and made us feel like family friends. The heart of town, with its sweet restaurants and shops, was a few steps away. "
