"I'm sure on a nice day, this place is absolutely awesome. Unfortunately for me it was raining and cold, and after a horrifying ride up the mountain, I was greeted by the dog that jumped up on me and got my pants very muddy (I love dogs but he was extremely muddy and kept jumping on me).. I had to ask for the bottle of wine and that came with the room. The girl that checked me in was not very nice. You can hear the neighbors come in and out because the main door is large and slams. There is no quiet way to close it. The morning was better. The gentleman at the desk was very friendly and the breakfast was terrific with so many choices. I would try it again, but on a nice summer day "

"I loved this place. Well located and luckily very well lit (there was a ton of fog when I arrived and their large, well-lit sign made all the difference. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very elegant. There is a stunning view of Mt. Etna, and their chef is excellent. Can't wait to come back! "

"Our stay at Za' Maria was beautiful. The hotel is quite out-dated but made up for this by being kept so clean. I couldn't find one single fault there. The staff were wonderful and friendly. Definitely going back to stay there when we are in that area. "

"We had a 14 night stay. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Carmelo is very knowledgeable and very welcoming. Tina the cleaning lady bends over backwards to make sure you are comfortable and that your room is clean, refreshed, well stocked with fresh towels, linens, etc. All staff are great . Breakfast is included alrhough if your looking to start your day off with proteins, you will be disappointed. Breakfast consits of croissants in assorted varieties, cakes, cookies, there is sliced bread and a toaster, assortment of jams, and spreads, fruit is limited, there are hard boiled eggs, the coffee is very dissapointing as its not freshly brewed but through a machine that uses k-cups ..the breakfast was the same day in day out. The orher thing is the hotel does not have assigned or designated parking for their guests. So we arrive back at the end of your day you might find yourself driving around the block a few times before you land a parking spot close to the hotels entrance. The door to the hotel is at times a challenge to unlock..not an easy task. There are also 4 flights of stairs to do to get to your room. The hotel is in a great location, many gelaterias, bars, amenities close by. The hotel always smelled lovely, and fresh, having AC was a blessing. Overall we had a pleasant and comfortable stay. Would recommend Hotel Marconi."

"The villa was everything we could have wished for. It had a functional indoor space with everything you need and an excellent shower. The outdoor space was huge, with a big verandah and bbq area. The pool was a good size and when not exploring Palermo, Etna, the Aolean Islands or Capo D'orlando we were enjoying villa days, up to 12 hours in the pool. We picked nearby lemons to enjoy in iced water. Out of consideration we replaced anything we used, including foil, toilet roll, hand wash and pool inflatables. Antonio was helpful and answered any questions we had, he put in a big fan to help with the heat. The drive to it from the main road was tricky - take your time, but totally worth the draw-dropping views and seclusion. We took our two daughters aged 14 and 11 who loved it too. Capri Leone had everything we needed, supermarkets, post office, hardware store. Chimera pizza restaurant was delicious, large good-priced pizzas. Incredible memories, thank you. "
