Hotel is delightful. Staff extremely accommodating. We could hear a lot of outside noises from our room. Didn’t bother us at all, but could be a problem for others. We loved staying in Old San Juan! The history is amazing and the whole area feels so unique! Decanter Hotel was an awesome location to explore OSJ and our room was spacious! There is some street noise, but that is to be expected when staying in the city! A very neat old building but everything was functional! We had drinks on the rooftop and enjoyed the beautiful view of the old cathedral. Unfortunately the rooftop bar was not open while we were there but we still got to use the space, which was great!

The hotel's location is perfect for walking around Old San Juan. It's on a quiet street across from a church and, for an unknown reason, there was a police car stationed next to the hotel - so we felt very safe. There was free coffee each morning in the lobby and many little restaurants nearby. The old city walls/ocean are only a couple of blocks away. Our suite was comfortable for us - we had two in the Queen bed and two on the sofa bed, which was surprisingly comfortable. The kitchen was not stocked well but we used the microwave and fridge. We had a fun night at their rooftop bar. The servers there were SO nice and there was a good vibe. We got wonderful advice from two of the front desk staff. However, the woman who checked us in was unwelcoming and unhelpful. Luckily she was off duty after our first day's checkin. Overall, we recommend Decanter!

At the heart of San Juan. My kids loved the pigeon park that is just few minutes walking distance away. Lots of great food near the hotel. We stayed during a weekend, the area can be a bit noisy after midnight, I was woken up 2am by groups of people shouting in the hall way. Regardless, the hotel is a wonderful.

Property is in a great location. We did lots of walking and exploring. Room was clean and nice. The only thing is next time I would get an interior room because you are close to the street and partying so you hear the loud music and people walking up and down throughout the night. Staff at the front desk and cleaning were so kind and helpful! It’s a perfect location close to shops, restaurants, historical locations to explore.
