The Oyo is really not your everyday hotel. It’s part RV park, part Hotel. We only stayed one night, but it seemed like the people staying there were mellow travelers. The staff was super nice, and helpful. There is a nice courtyard area that could be used for group meals, etc., but during Covid, everybody is just staying in, and keeping to themselves. There are some really nice cactus gardens, and lot’s of dogs and cats running around. We love animals, so this was special for us. The room had a small kitchen, and two queen beds. We had our cats with us, and they loved the room too. There is nothing fancy here, but it worked for our needs. If you want luxury, keep looking, but if you like different, and cozy, the Oyo is great. This looked like it would be a really fun place when there isn’t a pandemic going on. Lot’s of public spaces, etc. Maybe next time we come through things will be different.

Great little hotel but doesn't take credit cards!!
Nice to see a real baja hotel on this site. Very nice little hotel with friendly cats & dogs who will pay you a visit. But, beware they do not take credit cards.

Not Fancy but Clean & Safe
Our stay in San Felipe was a quick overnight on road trip heading south from LA area to Baja California Sur. Our requirements are seemingly simple - secure parking and clean room/bathroom. We were walk-in's as most of the hotels I called in advance had no rooms available. Nothing fancy about these digs. We drove in to gated courtyard, gate locked nightly, and were offered choice of 2 rooms. We opted for the one with bathroom in the room and were given remotes for A/C and TV (which we didn't use) and the key plus 2 towels. It was a sparse room with 2 beds and the A/C worked great. Tired as we were, it was sufficient and the couple who welcomed us in barefeet with a couple of sweet small dogs was everything we love about Mexican hospitality.

What i didnt like is that i got the room for 3 people she was telling me that she was going to charge me more for the 3 rd person. Then i call her all day to tell her i was running late. When she talked to me she was mad and rude

Location was great, within 5 minutes to the beach. Free parking and always find available space. The outside area look pretty and clean. There is free Wi-Fi, didnt work most of the time but it wasn’t a big deal since I came to enjoy the beach. A/C available only on the bedroom but it was cold enough. Room was spacious, good for more than 3. The room has a little dining table with 4 chairs, it has a countertop, dirty stove and refrigerator. I was totally disappointed when I opened the refrigerator to put my drinks, it was really really bad, lots of stains, hair and an old banana, there is a wood cabinet with a lot of hangers to put your clothes on, I found it dirty too with a used black face mask inside and I saw dirty paper napkins inside the drawers. This place needs a deep cleaning especially in the kitchen area. Price was cheap compared to other hotels in the area, but too dirty to stay again, refrigerator was a No No No issue, I can’t believe the maid didnt noticed that.
