The Neighborhood:
Nestled on the border of Hillcrest and Mission Hills, this home offers the best of both vibrant neighborhoods. Just a few miles north of San Diego’s bustling downtown, Hillcrest is known as the city’s LGBTQ+ hub, brimming with lively bars, diverse restaurants, cozy coffee houses, unique boutiques, and eclectic shops.
A short distance south of Hillcrest, you’ll find Balboa Park, North America’s largest urban cultural park. This iconic destination features 16 museums, performing arts venues, stunning Spanish-Renaissance architecture, 1,200 acres of lush gardens, and the world-famous San Diego Zoo.
Mission Hills, perched on the hills overlooking Old Town and the San Diego Bay, is one of San Diego’s oldest and most desirable neighborhoods. This primarily residential area boasts charming small shops and restaurants, along with architecturally impressive homes from the early 1900s that have been meticulously preserved and restored. Getting Around:
Hillcrest and Mission Hills is very walk-able!
However a car is the best way to get around San Diego if you'll be exploring places outside of Hillcrest.
Uber / Lyfts are readily available if you aren't bringing your own car!
Other Things to Note:
Please note that there are a few steps to get into the home at the front entrance.
The detached 4th bedroom does not have a bathroom. Guests must enter the main home through the kitchen door on the side of the patio to access the bathroom at night.
We require all guests to sign a Good Neighbor Policy document prior to staying. We do enforce their policy so it must be signed in order to receive check-in info, but we will make it super easy for you to initial and sign :) It can all be done online.
