Relaxing nook
Small place, with everything we needed close to coffee, groceries and many restaurants. Surprisingly quiet for its location, we slept well and enjoyed our visit.

Do not rent this property
Not at all as advertised. This is an added on apartment to a home. The unfinished counter in kitchen, causes your knees to abutt the open back of oven. Different furniture from picture. No wash/shower soaps, no coffee. Absolutely NO parking. We continuously had to park 10 to 15 minutes away. This property is a joke!

North Park Cottage
This place is so cute! I’d love to stay here again. The patio was relaxing and the faux fireplace is a nice touch. Loved the upstairs bedroom and bath. Feedback for improvements: 1 dresser drawer was in need of reinforcement. I was afraid my clothes were too heavy for the bottom. More plants would be nice on the patio but that’s just me.

Perfect rental is central San Diego!
Very cute and clean 1bd/1ba in North Park neighborhood in SD, unit is two stories but I loved the seperate space. I lived in this area for years so it’s near to my heart and this location won’t disappoint. Walking distance to tons of shops and restaurants. Cozy spot nestled in a safe neighborhood, all the necessary amenities including a quiet private patio space and free laundry! Parking can be tough but that’s most of SD! Mike was quick to respond, would recommend for single travelers or small families, also pet friendly! Would definitely stay again.

Amazing location!!!
Great location, supermarket nearby, bus stops, coffee shops, brewery's 5 min walk away. Balboa Park so close, walkable if you fancy it. Owners were super helpful and contactable if you have any questions. There was a slight issue one morning with the hot water but it was sorted out the same day and a bottle of champagne was waiting for us when we got back for the trouble.The neighbourhood was safe, not loud, a nice quiet area but lots of things to do.Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here 😀

Pet friendly, but not people friendly.
Despite the great reviews I read before booking this property, unfortunately, my personal experience with the owner was not so nice. It started out ok, but I apparently asked too many questions.. he became rude asking if I am "slow or something" tells me I'm the most annoying person he has rented to asked my 13 year old daughter and I to leave( we ended up staying, but it was highly uncomfortable for the rest of our trip.) He actually excused his poor behavior with "I'm Norwegian, that's how we are" 🙄👎

Furniture is very cheap. The bed is propped up on cylinders. Bathroom likewise very cheap, tiny pedestal sink, small shower. epoxy poured over hardwood floors are very slippery. No easily accessible power outlets in bedroom for charging.

Ok experience
Good and safe location, nice little apartment to stay in for a week. One incident occurred while staying that is the reason for a 3/5. Our first day there, the owner of the place forgot or didn't know we were staying there and while I was taking a nap the owner tried to break into the place because he thought the door was locked from the maids. He did try to make it up to us with a bottle of wine, but the stay was a little tainted from the thought of someone trying to break in with a crowbar while we were just trying to relax. Also the beds were very stiff, along with the pillows and i woke up with neck pains each day. Overall, probably wasn't worth the price and there are better places out there.

The unit was fine for two days. Could use some loving care (stairs need work). Patio really not useful. Make sure you let people know bedroom and bathroom are upstairs. Communication was great! Thank you. Well worth the $.

Small place, great location.
Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. I stay in North Park regularly because the neighborhood is easily walkable to tons of great restaurants and breweries/nightlife with easy access to the freeway. One thing about North Park vacation rentals is that most are pretty small. This was the smallest I’ve stay in yet. It was barely big enough for me. I’m 6’ 2” and I felt like I needed to be shoehorned to fit in the bathroom. The kitchen was similarly tiny. Aside from that, the location is awesome (although parking in NP is a nightmare)! The bed was extremely comfortable, ceiling fans were quiet and it had everything you needed for a short stay (3 nights for me).

Great location and affordable
Michael’s place was great and my friend and I really enjoyed staying here. There are tons of restaurants and bars within walkable distance, and took ride shares to the zoo and pacific beach which were very quick. It was a quiet and safe neighborhood which is always a concern with 2 women traveling. I missed that their were stairs to the bedroom and bathroom but it didn’t affect us. We didn’t bring a car so not sure what the parking situation was. Michael was very responsive and welcoming.

The place was small and put together with 2x4’s. The hallway shades did not block the light from coming in at 4:30 AM . Bathroom door was hard to close since the screws for the hinges were loose . The place was Mickey Mouse together . Price was okay .

An Amazing Time!!
Our stay was like being home. We felt safe and at peace. The market is 5 minutes away and has everything you need. As we walked the community everyone was friendly and we even took public transportation. The bus route is no more than 2 blocks away. Took public transportation to the harbor where we did the harbor excursion, it was relaxing. The area has every type of food you would desire. All the restaurants were delicious and several vegan choices. Great time at “Red Wing” restaurant with karaoke. The San Diego zoo is near and the farmer’s market had great vendors. That was our first time is San Diego and we are planning to return soon. Mike introduced himself and was available if we needed anything. Also, there’s a laundromat three blocks away too. You will love your stay, looking forward to returning.😊
