It's back! We are again managing Ceci's Riviera Villa, a 3 bed/ 2 bath home on Sail Bay in Pacific Beach!

This vacation home is great for families! Unwind in the living room, with a gas fireplace and large flat screen TV after a day exploring San Diego. This large vacation home comes with central A/C, a rarity in coastal San Diego! The master bedroom has a king bed and a large flat screen with cable, there is a queen in the 2nd bedroom, and a queen in the third bedroom. A queen sofa bed in the living room gives extra sleeping room and there is an easy to use gas log fireplace for ambiance in the comfortable living room.
The master bathroom features dual sinks and an extra large exquisite tumbled travertine tiled bath/shower area with a large oval soaking tub and extra large shower head. There is a coin operated laundry room on each floor of the building about 30 feet away. You can enjoy the view and sunset while cooking in the open California-style kitchen with stainless steel appliances. Prepare meals in, if you like, as everything you need for cooking your own meals is provided.

The Riviera Villas are situated on the quieter East side of beautiful Sail Bay (the loveliest part of Mission Bay)! You will have a magnificent view of the sunsets with the activities of the bay in the foreground; kiteboarders, sailboats, water skiers, catamarans, etc. Yet, you are only 12 minutes from San Diego's bustling downtown historic Gaslamp area with its fine dining, 1.5 miles from SeaWorld, and within 15 minutes from the lovely Balboa Park with the famous San Diego Zoo. So, you can have it all!

Enjoy your coffee on your private balcony as you watch the boardwalk come alive. People are on the boardwalk riding bikes, skating, jogging, and just strolling at leisure. Take a stroll or ride our two provided beach cruiser bikes around the bay and if you like, cross over to Mission Beach with its wide boardwalk to watch the surfers or catch a glimpse of the green flash at sunset.

Policies & House Rules

What to expect after booking:
We manage properties on behalf of our owners. Upon confirming your booking, we will send you a rental agreement for your upcoming stay which you will need to complete. This agreement reviews our terms and conditions, house rules and policies, and what to expect of your stay. We will also contact you within 24 hours of the booking to obtain contact information and to address any questions or concerns you may have regarding your upcoming visit. The check-in details will not be shared until the rental agreement has been signed, payment has been made, and the guest has connected with one of our guest services agents.

In addition to completing our electronic rental agreement, you will also be required to participate in our identity verification process. The Verify Hub service is offered through Autohost; an intelligent guest screening software that automates ID verifications, background and credit checks, security deposits and more, helping to improve guest experience and safety. Please note: for the credit card verification, a $2 hold will be placed on the card to run the report. This hold will never process and will fall off automatically within 7 days.

Property Appearance:
Vacation rentals in San Diego are for the most part, second homes for the owners. Therefore, some furniture or decor may differ from what is pictured because the owners needed or wanted to replace something. Professional photos are expensive and we can not re-photograph the rental every time something is changed but we do maintain the listing content with any notable furnishing changes especially related to sleeping arrangements. (*Please note: We do not give refunds because a piece of furniture or artwork has changed)

Property Responsibilities:
If you have never stayed in a vacation rental before, we are not a hotel, WE ARE BETTER! We offer many of the same luxuries of a hotel with the comfort and space of home to share with your whole family. Our property owners are our friends and we work with each owner to offer a special, specific and ideal environment for guests to experience and enjoy. All of our homes offer similar amenities so you can expect the same experience whenever staying with us.

With that said, we need you to do your part in helping us maintain each home. Please be attentive to ALL RESPONSIBILITIES as a guest of our home. Trash/Recycling, Check-out duties, Communication to management, Replacement of keys/fobs/remotes, and Care of the home all help us give each guest and family a home to feel at home in. We appreciate your assistance in making our homes and our business unlike any other!

ALL OF OUR PROPERTIES ARE NON-SMOKING.
Many buildings are also managed by HOAs who will fine guests for misconduct.

Noise:
This home is in a residential neighborhood and, as such, is a NOISE SENSITIVE property. Respect must be shown for the property and neighbors at all times. No loud music, parties, and or loud talking outside after 9 pm. Violation of these rules MAY result in immediate eviction from the property per your rental agreement, and/or fines from the San Diego Police. Please review your rental agreement for complete details and rules about your home!

Starter Kit:
We like our guests to feel at home as soon as they arrive! We provide a 'starter kit' to help our guests get settled without needing to rush off to the store. Our kits include: paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner, soap, linens, towels, kitchen sponges, dish soap, laundry detergent and fabric softener, dishwasher soap when applicable, trash bags, extra blankets, sometimes extra pillows, extra sheets-for sleeper sofas, hair dryers, ironing boards, kitchens fully stocked-enough for max occupancy with some extra settings, toasters, some waffle makers, blenders, tool kits, first aid kits, fire extinguishers, and co2/fire detectors.

Arrival/Departure Policy:
Check in time is 3 pm and strictly enforced. (From Memorial Day through Labor Day, check-in is at 4pm)
Check out time is 11 am.
Please follow all instructions for your arrival and departure in our email and phone call correspondence. There is signage around the home to assist with the use of amenities and questions that you may have during your stay. We are available too, even after hours-give us a call!

Holiday 2024 Policy:
6 night minimum AND Saturday check-in is REQUIRED during our holiday season (December 21-January 4). One reservation CANNOT take both holidays, unless it is a 2-week reservation. There are no arrivals OR departures on Christmas or New Year's Day.
*An arrival on a Friday or Sunday may be possible, please inquire if your group needs accommodations that are different as we may be able to accommodate you!

Summer 2024 Policy:
Beginning Memorial Day to Labor Day, Saturday to Saturday is required with 6-7 night reservations. On July 4th 2024, check-in or check-out is NOT permitted. An arrival on a Friday or Sunday may be possible, please inquire if your group needs accommodations that are different as we may be able to accommodate you.

Last Minute Booking Policy:
If a guest books with us directly or on any OTA such as Airbnb and VRBO, within 72 hours of arrival, verification credentials are required. By making a payment on the reservation, the guest agrees to comply with our last minute booking policy.

To properly vet a guest with such short notice requires the following; a “selfie” photo specifically of the booking guest's face and holding either a Driver's License, Passport or State ID photo under their chin. We are just looking for a name to match and the photo on the ID to match that of the person in the selfie. This can be sent by email or text to our company email address. Additionally, we need to confirm guest details such as payment, contact information, applicable check-in time, number of guests and ages, any pets, etc.

This process is required, and if a guest refuses to comply then the reservation will be canceled. We have found this procedure to be successful in avoiding fraud, and protecting all parties! We appreciate your cooperation and we are available to help with any questions.

Nightly Minimum Policy:
4 night minimum required in the off season.
6 nights AND a Saturday Check-in is REQUIRED during peak season (June - August). Arrival on Friday or Sunday instead may be an option.

Pet Policy: This property is NOT pet-friendly. This is an HOA policy and violators may incur a fine.

Rate Policy: Prices change on a daily basis so the rates you see today may be higher or lower when booking!

Great Bayside Condo
The condo complex is older, but in good shape. There is an elevator, but note that there are steps : 3 steps to go up from the elevator, 3 steps inside the residence. Could use a nonslip mat in the tub. Supplied all kinds of great things that we really enjoyed: shampoo & soap, laundry, paddle boards, boogie boards, bikes, beach towels, volleyball, beach volleyball net, sand toys… SO ENJOYED THIS - thank you!! The bikes however were ROUGH, need TLC. The beds are very comfortable, AC in the unit sometimes whined, but worked. Lovely area, bike to the ocean or stay on the bay. Clean neighborhood, easy to walk to breakfast or dinner. Great to have a garage parking spot (two), but if you have a low slung car it might scrape the bottom upon entry into the lower level garage.

Nice side view of the bay, clean but just ok
Apartment was in a great location with access to the bay and beach easily. The beds were comfortable but the 3rd bedroom had a different bed then what was pictured on the site with no TV in the room. The remotes for the TV in master and second bedroom didn’t work properly the entire stay. WIFI was terrible so we had to sit on balcony to use computer. Shower door in main bathroom was broke with a sign that said please don’t use but my daughters had trouble with the other door as well. It needs to be replaced immediately. We would not use the grill provided on the balcony… old and unclean. The paintings on the walls changed and some walls didn’t have anything on them. While the place was in a great location and clean I’d say it could use some renovations based on the unit my girlfriend stayed in across the hall from us. I was jealous when I saw her unit. I texted the property management company that rented to us about the TVs but didn’t get a response from them.

Great location. Great places to walk nearby. Beds were comfortable. The stove top was terrible and food stuck to the pans. I think the stovetop needs a certain type of pan and they hard hard to cook with. I’m sure this wouldn’t matter to many people especially with the beautiful location.

Nice condo!
Our condo was very clean and had air conditioning. Nice to see a little of the bay from the kitchen table. It was also nice to step out of the building onto the bayfront sidewalk every morning. The master bed/bath was spacious and very comfortable. The bunk beds were not as expected as they were very wobbly that we couldn’t use the top bunk, but Nancy’s did call us before we arrived to see if a queen bed world work better but it did not fit our family. I know they were planning to switch out beds after our stay. It was super helpful to have beach chairs and an umbrella for our use. We’re under the impression that there were 3 boogie boards but there was only 1 and a small child sized one. There is only a small Goerge Foreman bbq so using it for a family would be difficult if you plan on grilling while you are on vacation. ( we didn’t use it,) We would definitely stay in this condo again.

They were very responsive to my communication with them and helpful with any questions I had. I have to admit that I did have a hard time getting the key to work in the elevator but that is a minor point. Close to everything you need!

Great place for multiple generations!
This condo on the bay turned out to be great for a multi-generational vacation. Our daughter and son-in-law and two children joined us for a week, so we appreciated the 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and the garage parking. The broad concrete walk in front of the building was great --we walked a lot, and used the bikes that came with the condo, as well as the scooters that were for available nearby for rent, just for fun, and to travel to Sea World and Belmont Park. San Diego is so close--we spent time at Balboa Park, the New Children's Museum (our grandsons, 7 & 9 loved the rough and tumble room and the Wonder Room), and the USS Midway. We prepared most meals in the condo--the only things we wanted for were better frying pans, a casserole dish, and serving dishes for a crew, but we managed (and left a baking pan we bought).

Super location, spacious, well-stocked; we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!
Overall, this was a great space for our family vacation. Positives: - Great location! It was easy to visit Sea World, the zoo, the beach, etc. We loved that the Mission Bay beach was right out our window. It was about a 20 minute walk to the ocean. In addition, we frequented the playground that was just a short walk away down the beach. - The condo was spacious. We had family and friends over for dinner a couple nights, and there was plenty of room for the kids to play. - It was well-stocked. There were plenty of towels (both bath towels and beach towels). Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and soap were provided. There was also a hair dryer. Best for us - there was a high chair and a booster seat, as well as some play doh and an art kit (presumably left by previous guests). The sand toys were nice as well. Negatives (I'm being picky here): - We emailed ahead of time about an early check-in and called when we arrived. They said it was fine to come early but warned us maintenance workers would probably come while we were there, as the condo was scheduled for a heater repair and some restocking. When we arrived, there was tape blocking the elevator entrance because of wet paint on the floor. The painter said we would have to come back later. We had two small children who needed to nap, and it was mostly dry, so we were able to tiptoe to our door, but it was unfortunate. Also, the heating repairman was friendly, but he commented that he didn't know we would be checking in early. The communication could have been better. In addition, someone came to be sure we had the pack n play we had paid extra money for. I replied that yes it was there (it was in a closet), but I do wonder if it was already there (like the high chair and booster seat), in which case, I wish I wouldn't have paid extra for it. - The TV was difficult to figure out, although there were posted directions. We still found it complicated. - Plastic cups would have been nice for kids. In an email, the Nancy's Vacation Rentals staff were receptive to this suggestion. Again, overall, we were extremely pleased with our stay here and would stay here again.

SUPER SPOT!
If you even get the chance to visit San Diego, try to stay here!!! The condo is wonderful and BIG! We loved having the 3 bedrooms. The property was so nice and clean and well-appointed. And we felt so secure (having our 3 Grandkids with us) with having a secure elevator, garage and apartment. We enjoyed the great closet space. We all loved being right on the beach, and enjoyed having a volleyball net there. But most especially, the staff members and the supporting group at Nancy's Vacation Rental were WONDERFUL and so patient with Mimi! Thank you! (Some information notes of interest: Accessing the apartment requires a few steps. The apartment itself has two levels (a couple of steps). I am also concerned that we wasted some electricity, because we couldn't understand how to set the thermostat - should have called!) Overall... WOULD LOVE TO GO BACK! (P.S. Having beach cruiser bikes was great!)

Great home perfect for families by Mission Bay, calm waters. Easy access to highways to get around.
