We chose this hotel because it was near the airport as we had an early flight home to Vancouver. It is a family run hotel with only 8 rooms, which had been recently renovated. We were there on a weekend and it was very quiet although I understand they are busy during the week. Their dining room is open for lunch and dinner and the food is really good, apparently mama does all the cooking. The owner arranged for an early taxi for us and was up at 4:30 am to make sure we got away and to help us with our suitcases. Thanks for a wonderful end to our vacation.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful our stay was at Alla Croceira!!!!!!! The hotel and restaurant were absolutely spotless and the owner was incredibly professional and accommodating. When our travel plans on how to get to the airport (which is so close) fell through, the owners of the hotel drove us herself, in her car!!! Wow!!!!! The personal touches and care and concern that we received could never ever be matched by a standard hotel chain. Alla Croceira was incredible!! I just wish that we could have stayed longer. I encourage anyone who wishes to book a hotel or have a meal in the Trieste area to visit this establishment. You will be happy that you did! We certainly are!!!!!!!!

Very friendly and helpful host. Delicious breakfast. We walked to a nearby town for dinner as we stayed in the Hotel the one night it was closed for dinner. The surrounding area is beautiful and we enjoyed seeing the countryside. Very close to the Trieste airport.

Great Hotel!
I booked this hotel because ot was close to the Trieste airport and we had an early flight the next morning. It was a highlight of our time in Italy! It's family owned and operated and the lady who runs it really took good care of us. We had been on a cruise and with the disembarkation schedule as well as the train schedule we arrived a couple of hours before check-in time. There was no problem she just wanted to check to see if the room was ready and then carried our bags up for us. We spent most of the day sitting at the end of the covered outdoor area of their restaurant. She ended up fixing dinner for us early as the restaurant didn't open until late. The food was excellent! Her husband runs the farm that most of their vegetables (and some of the meats) they use. She checked on us a little before our 4:00 a.m. cab (she had ordered for us) arrived to take our bags down. I can't say enough wonderful things about the hotel--I definitely recommend it!

Wonderful staff, made sure I had a taxi set up for the morning, didn’t have an iron in the room so she did it for me, just such sweet people with a cute little restaurant on ground level. Room was clean, good a/c. Just had to take a star off because the bed & pillows were quite uncomfortable. Nonetheless, this is a great location close to the airport and I would still say again due the the fantastic customer service.

The hostess/owner was exceptionally kind and very pleasant. The property was very clean and conveniently located to the airport. The value was very good and to our surprise, it even included a continental breakfast. I would give this property a five-star except for the fact that the bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. A memory foam pad would go along way to improve the comfort.

I arrived at the airport and there was no taxi. I called the reception and she came to pick my wife and I up. Great place to stay. I highly recommend. Lovely people and would recommend anyone staying in Trieste, Italy close to the airport.

I stayed here a second time since it was so nice ! It’s really close to the Trieste airport. Elisa is a wonderful host and really enjoys her job. She truly takes care of her guests. Both Elisa and her mother both cook the meals and they are superb cooks. The rooms have recently been renovated and are very comfortable . I’ll be back to use this establishment again.

I just needed a place to stay before an early flight out of Trieste. I was expecting to get in late and called the front desk that I'd not be there until 11pm. I didn't even get in until past 11:30pm but the lady had stayed and waited for me. She even helped me arrange a taxi for 5am the next morning -- in spite of how late it was. It was very comforting and let me rest easily before my flight home.

Excellent hotel super convenient to Trieste airport...5 min away by car. Rooms are basic but very clean and refurbished. Restaurant has a basic but adequate menu.
