"There were a few small issues with the room, but we were only there 3 nights so didn’t let it bother us. A little expensive, but the location with beach access helps offset the cost. Friendly staff. Everytime we book, the booking sites all say 1 room or 2 rooms left, but when we arrive it seems like most of the rooms are empty!!!! Don’t know why. That was the case last year also… overall decent and would go back."

"As a bird watcher, the estuary at the edge of La Poza was extraordinary! I added over twenty new species of birds to my lifetime list and learned about the behavior of Magnificent frigate birds! There is a resident Osprey and multiple herons. The staff of the hotel is extraordinary; so kind and personable! We stayed almost a week and I was sorry to leave. "

On top of that you are 10min from a number of beaches that are amazing to spend the day at. If you’re looking for a relaxing space to unwind, you should treat yourself to a weekend or more at this hotel. You won’t regret it… in fact you might not want to leave."

"Truly unique property with a great restaurant where we all enjoyed our dinner and hanging out throughout the night playing games. The only downside is the showers do not get very warm and the rooms in the tubes are tight (we didn't mind the tightness). If you have lots of luggage, then not enough space for everything."

"Absolutely stunning ocean and mountain views. The staff was incredibly friendly and were onsite until 10pm every night. They were always helpful. There is a beautiful community patio with an infinity pool, but no bar or restaurant. The place has a close relationship with the resort LaPonza at the bottom of the hill which has a tasty restaurant, bar, massage services and access to the nearby lagoon with free kayaks. I wouldn’t swim in the water. It has a dirty feed stream. Now for the tough part....
