Made my reservation online with Expedia and was charged $70 smooth and effortless as always. Got to my hotel to check in and the lady claims she has no proof where I paid even after showing her my receipt and confirmation from Expedia. So I get charged an additional $60 after she told me my card wouldn’t be charged twice. Finally get checked in and when she hands me my room key she also hands me a can of spray deodorizer and says I’m being honest with you your going to need this. I’m thinking it’s just a smokers smell but omg it smelled like death. The smell was so strong in that room it gagged me and made my eyes burn. I go back downstairs to the office window to tell the lady I CANNOT stay in that room cause of the odor to find a clipboard with big bold letters that says DO NOT SELL 208. so after we exchanged conversation about how she couldn’t refund me and how there were no other rooms available I get put in room 419 which smelled as well. The whole 4th floor smells awful. The room was dirty and full of roaches. Thank god I didn’t have baggage, no telling what I would have taken home with me. Went to the store and bought air fresheners to try and mask the odors. Super noisy street traffic and trains all night long. Stopped in to rest before finishing my 7 hr drive home. Didn’t sleep cause of the smell, bugs and noise. Got taken for $130 which I will probably never see my refund. Just to note I’ve stayed here before several times with no issues but guaranteed never again.
