First, Evelyn was very responsive, helpful, and supportive. I'd be comfortable renting any property she manages.
House comments: Yes, the driveway is steep. Put it in low and you'll be fine going up. We had two 4-door pickups and a Honda Odyssey, and there was plenty of room to park & turn around. Roomy 2-car garage, you could comfortably park 4 big vehicles, and 5 if you had someone directing traffic & set some rules. Visually intimidating, but really, not an issue.
Bathrooms - 5 toilets. The upstairs bathroom has a shower/tub in the middle and two half-baths on either end. Proved handy for our all-adult-male group. Had two toilets clog, but easily plunged them. Hard to say if that was on our end or the house. I've never clogged a toilet in my life; my brother clogs them all the time. Probably operator error. 3 showers was enough for our group, staggered over the course of the day.
Beds - Easily enough beds for 12 to have their own. I think we had two extra pullouts. The 3rd upstairs bedroom is a little tight; 5 beds and a bit of a snore festival. It'd be perfect for up to 10-12 kids; they'd never get to sleep with all the playing possibilities.
Living spaces - wonderful! Main TV/LR room can sit 3 big guys each on two couches, plus a big chair good for 1.5 large men or 2 smaller people. 4-person small table off the kitchen and 3-4 seats at the bar and everyone is right in the heart of the action, watching the NCAA tournament or listening to the daily golf tournament results. Super space for interaction. Pool table room and big dining table with 8 chairs, can sit all 12 dudes at it if you squeeze in. Can't say enough about the opportunity to male bond in the downstairs spaces. Outside deck is huge, could probably host a party of 20 easily.
Kitchen - best stocked of any guest house I've been in. And now it's better stocked after we left our salt/pepper/spices/napkins/oil/etc, etc. Lots of big pots & pans, seemed like at least 2 of all sizes. Pretty easy to cook for 12. One of our number managed to clog the kitchen sink twice, but again, operator error. Easy enough to disassemble the sink trap and yell at him to not put an entire head of broccoli down the disposal and/or a dozen eggshells, without running the water & grinder together.
Location: Neighborhood is quiet, and easy to get to I-10 and 1604. La Cantera and Cedar Creek courses are 5 minutes away. Fiesta TX also 5 min.
TV - is a Roku smart TV. Know your Hulu/Sling/Netflix passwords.
