The studio sits at the far end of this historic property behind the main house. This little country paradise is nestled right on the outskirts of NW San Antonio and was home to the famous landscape artist Robert Wood back in the 1930's & 40’s. THE SPACE: This cottage is a studio, furnished with a comfortable Queen Bed, a well equipped Kitchen with granite countertops, stove and refrigerator and a Bathroom with shower. This cottage has High-Speed Wireless Internet access as well as a Flat Screen Smart TV with Netflix and local channels. GUEST ACCESS: You will have access to a furnished stone courtyard with a waterfall fountain, a fire pit and charcoal grill. The Studio Cottage also has two outdoor chairs and an adjoining greenhouse with a table and chairs. THE NEIGHBORHOOD: Perhaps the best feature of our cottages is that they are located in historical Grey Forest not far from the old Boerne to San Antonio stagecoach line. We are just minutes from SeaWorld and Six Flags and only about 17 miles from the Alamo and the romantic San Antonio Riverwalk and about 20 miles from the beautiful Guadalupe River State Park. If you want to stay closer, within walking or biking distance is a very romantic and well-known restaurant called the ‘Grey Moss Inn’ ( In addition there are various nature walking paths, a spring fed creek and Madla Natural Area close by. We are only 2.5 miles from Old Town Helotes, which is home to the John T. Floore Country Store where major Country Music acts routinely perform. ( It is where Willie Nelson got his start and still plays every October. Market Days are every first Saturday of the month where you can visit are several shops and just enjoy the "Old Town" feel.
