Hotel is along the established route for one of the 3 major Carnaval parades: every 30 minutes, from noon to midnight, from Friday before Lent through Fat Tuesday, floats pass in front of the hotel. The hotel sets up risers so guests can see from balconies on the 2nd and 3rd floor-- very up close and personal. Great to be able to enjoy the festivities, walk a few feet to the air conditioned room to recharge, then return. Hotel itself is modest, and the breakfast buffet had ham, cheese, fruit, juice, coffee, and breads, plus eggs cooked on request. Wifi signal was a bit weak but present. Rooms are sparse but clean with tile floors, and contained TV, desk, bed, toilet and shower. Staff was very accommodating, and seemed genuinely happy for our business as some of the few international guests in their city.
