Suitable for friends and families, with dogs also being more than welcome - Harbour Cottage is the perfect place for a luxury getaway by the sea.
The Space:
The cottage is laid out over three floors, with an open plan living, dining kitchen space on the ground floor. On the first floor you will find a cosy double bedroom along with the family bathroom, and on the third floor you'll find the master bedroom complete with double bed and seaside views.
The property is cosy and modern and offers everything you'll need for a getaway by the sea, including Smeg Kettle and Toaster, a Nespresso coffee machine, microwave and fan assisted oven. At the rear of the property you'll find the washing room contains a washing machine and is the perfect place to store those mucky boots and any damp coats and jackets.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.
There are two long stay car parks at the top of Staithes Bank and further details will be provided before your stay.
By the very nature of Staithes 16th - 17th Century properties, Harbour Cottage has steep and narrow staircases which may not be suitable for younger children or those less physically able.
The Neighborhood:
Staithes is the quaint coastal hamlet which was recently named one of Britain’s most beautiful seaside villages. It has high cliffs, winding streets and mismatched cottages bursting with charm.
The village is also known for its abundance of fossils which can be found along the small beach and in the cluster of rockpools. This area is nicknamed the ‘Dinosaur Coast’ as it’s packed with history.
Staithes is a magnet for art and artists alike. Throughout the village you’ll find amazing painted illusions known as the ‘Painted Illusions Trail’ created by the famous artist Paul Czainski. It is also the home to the impressionist art society, known as Staithes Group, and their work can always be seen dotted around. Getting Around:
Harbour Cottage is within walking distance of all that Staithes has to offer and within 30 minutes’ drive time of Saltburn and Whitby.
Staithes has great bus links to surrounding areas including Whitby, Sandsend, Saltburn, Middlesbrough, and Scarborough. The X4 bus runs from Middlesbrough to Whitby passing Staithes Lane End making it very accessible to other desired bays.
The closest train stations are located in Saltburn and Whitby.
