Summary:
Located in the peaceful seaside village of Skinningrove, Apartment 6 is a bright and welcoming two bedroom split-level apartment with plenty of homely features. Featuring modern furnishings and styling throughout, the apartment has a neat look. The perfect escape for couples or families of three, the dog friendly Apartment 6 will provide a comfortable base when exploring or working in North Yorkshire.

The Space:
Apartment 6 has a light and spacious living area. With a bright colour palette of white and light grey, there is a calming feel. At the end of a busy day, relax on the corner sofa and turn on the flat screen TV.

Modern in style, the kitchen has light cabinets and black brick style tiles. Fully equipped, the kitchen has everything you could need to prepare meals easily with modern appliances and cookware. Start your morning with a homemade breakfast or end the day with a hearty meal at the dining table which shares the space.

The apartment has two bedrooms. Head to the master bedroom and you’ll find a comfortable double bed and a flat screen TV. Bedside tables, lamps, and a wardrobe complete the space.

The second bedroom, located on the ground floor, is cosy and welcoming with a single bed.

Featuring crisp white walls and silver hardware, the family bathroom at Apartment 6 is sophisticated and modern. A bath and separate shower, along with a WC and wash basin add to the space’s amenities.

Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during guest bookings. For this reason, we require all our guests to transfer a Damage Deposit (refundable, subject to an administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to Apartment 6 are accessed via a secure key safe, full details of which will be provided prior to your stay.

Ample on-site parking is available in a communal car park.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome at Apartment 6 per reservation.

The Neighborhood:
The village of Skinningrove is guaranteed to provide the perfect setting for a peaceful retreat. Head to the far end of the village and you’ll discover the beautiful Cattersty sands, one of Britain’s most stunning beaches. A visit to the Land of Iron at Cleveland Ironstone Mining Museum is also worthwhile if you want to discover Skinningrove’s history and traditions.

Just up the bank is the small, family friendly town of Loftus which has independent shops and amenities including the award winning Willow Cake Shop, Wold Pottery for arts and crafts and a micro gin bar. If you’re looking to get active during your stay, join the infamous 100 mile long Cleveland Way Trail or venture to Staithes along Boulby Cliffs which is the highest cliff on the east coast! Loftus is also an ideal base for cycling as you will find the Tour de Yorkshire and the Klondike pass by at the end of the road. If you want to partake in cycling yourself, there are plenty of uphill climbs to get your heart racing!

The gorgeous seaside town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea is also just a short drive away. Here you’ll find golden sandy shores and a bustling town centre. You can take the oldest functioning cliff lift in the UK down to the promenade where you’ll arrive at the 208-metre pier which stretches out into the sea. The beach is overlooked by colourful boutique beach huts, a fish restaurant, arcades and a surf shop making it the ideal spot for a day at the seaside.

Also close to Loftus is the charming fishing village of Staithes. The quaint coastal hamlet was recently named one of Britain’s most beautiful seaside villages. It has high cliffs, winding streets and mismatched cottages bursting with charm. Staithes is a magnet for art and artists alike. Throughout the village you’ll find amazing painted illusions known as the ‘Painted Illusions Trail’ created by the famous artist Paul Czainski. It is also the home to the impressionist art society, known as Staithes Group, and their work can always be seen dotted around. Visit Staithes Gallery and browse the wonderful exhibits inspired by the village.

Getting Around:
Apartment 6 is within a short walking distance of everything that Skinningrove has to offer. It is within 15 minutes’ drive time of Saltburn and Staithes, and 30 minutes’ drive time Whitby so the coast and surrounding area can be easily explored.

The closest train station is located in Saltburn and has routes to Longbeck, Redcar, Middlesbrough, Darlington, York, Leeds and Manchester, with connecting trains to London.

Lovely village but poor accommodation
Car parking was an issue all week...despite suposedly having a spot in the car park , the spot was more often than not taken by someone else. The flat is noisy...you can hear neighbours walking about and taps being turned on/ off. The shower had a screw fitted unstead of a handle. The bath overflow wasn't connected to anything and kept falling out. Some basics like teapot are not provided. I wouldn't recommend this apartment. However, the village & beach are lovely.
