"Cottage was exactly as we'd hoped - secluded (careful on the dirt road in; potholes abound), quiet, and just steps from the beach. House had all the amenities we could possibly have asked for, and the property manager proved professional and helpful. Beach is gorgeous, with clear shallow water and craggy coves for exploring with kids. Location is perfect; central to (20 min. drive) plenty of restaurants, a well-stocked market, and lots of stuff to do. Communication with owners was fast and easy.Everyone we met was friendly and delightful, safety never felt like an issue at all. Only deducted a star from "location and neighborhood" because on windy days the beach seems to accumulate a lot of trash brought in by the trade winds. Unfortunate and somewhat of a downer, but certainly no fault of the owners, or the Bahamas for that matter. Would definitely stay again. Highly recommend. "

"The property was beautiful and the hosts very friendly. The central location on the island made it very easy to explore by car but also had easy access by walking to both the Caribbean and Atlantic beaches. Highly recommended "

"My wife and I visited for 2 weeks and enjoyed every minute of it. The house is exceptionally clean, Nancy the house manager was easily accessible and knowledgeable. The property had everything we needed and more. If you are looking to decompress, this is an excellent house to do just that. We visited for the first two weeks in November and had only seen 1 person on the beach during our entire stay. Restaurants, pubs, the bakery and grocery stores are all nearby. We will be back for certain."

They made us feel at home instantly, very accommodating and knowledgeable. The accommodations had everything (and MORE) we needed to make our stay comfortable! "Stella Maris employees, Jill, waitresses, taxi driver, chef and anyone I missed are phenomenal. Assisted us in many ways. Very quick response time. Rainbow House is extremely well stocked, especially the paper products and towels. Kitchen is also well stocked with plenty of utensils, cookware, dishes etc. The villa was clean, as were the grounds. The upper deck is very large, as well as the pool deck. Gazebo great for fantastic breeze and photos. We highly recommend this property and resort. I have a couple of suggestions. We personally are outside people, and I wish there were some vertical blinds on the 2 large sliding doors. It would tremendously help with keeping family room cooler. Another plus would be TV's in the bedrooms. Definitely not needed, but watching TV in bed would be nice. Thanks for a lovely, memorable vacation. Pam, Gregg and Shannon"

"Wow! Amazing! We had a great time! The only thing you need to wear at Serenity is sunscreen. We stayed eight days and only seen two people walking the beach. For it being a public beach, it sure felt like our very own private oasis. The hut had about everything we needed for our stay including wifi . The king size net bed was our favorite place to hang out during the day to catch some rays and then at night for some star gazing. Tip: pack a flashlight, the nights are very dark when there's no moon out. The pictures and descriptions listed on VRBO are spot on, but you really need to be here in person to get a sense of the "serenity". The hosts were easy to reach and answer any questions we had. They even helped us set up a car rental and brought/delivered us some delicious pizza!"

"Private swim pool carved out of beach coral rock with ocean flowing through. Unbelievably cool!!!! Extremely private. Beach barista makes best mango daiquiri in world- yummy. Walking distance from airport if lightly loaded. Prices high for everything. Come loaded and have a good time. "
