"Very well maintained property, beautifully decorated lobby, excellent coffee shop at the lobby and above all very professional staff, each one of them, that we interacted with. Our baggage did not arrive with our flight, our interaction with Shankar Chakraborty was very reassuring. He patiently guided us thru the process of left luggage in case we checked out before the airline could deliver the baggages. Our sincere thanks to each and every staff member who made our stay comfortable at the hotel. We will certainly be back again when visiting Kolkata."

"This was my 2nd time staying at ITC Sonar. My experience met my expectation. I try to be a low maintenance guest, however the hotel staff were always trying to ensure that my stay was comfortable. Housekeeping, room service, reception, laundry services, guest relations, checkin staff, security, gym staff, restaurant staff and managers were always doing their best to ensure that guests do not have a reason to complain about. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options. The restaurant staff were polite, respectful and tried to offer the best possible service. Gym was well equipped, clean and spacious. Laundry service was quick and effortless. Room service and reception staff were prompt and professional. The security staff were well trained and were capable of doing their job flawlessly. The front desk was knowledgeable and eager to help. Guest relation staff members were professional. The room was very comfortable and quiet. The bed, linens and furniture were perfect. Elevator worked swiftly. The property was squeaky clean and well decorated for the festive season This is one of my favourite hotels in Kolkata now. This time, I stayed for 10 days and it was a joyful experience. Thank you. "

"We highly enjoyed our second stay at the Taj Bengal hotel. The hotel is very beautiful, the food is delicious, and the staff treats us like family!! We are very grateful for Sanjeeb Ghosh who has now made both of our stays here so special. We love him he fulfills all our requests and even brings our boys special treats! Mr. Ghosh and Suraj Thakur at the travel desk had a very prompt response to our needs, excellent organization, and efficient solutions. Our baggage was lost after a delayed flight and they both worked very hard along with Taj’s excellent airport concierge to recover everything quickly and promptly and delivered our bags to us with grace and ease. We absolutely love this hotel and their care for their guests and will be back for a third visit soon ! Also Rao who drives for Taj is incredible and he goes out of his way always to help us in whatever that may be , he’s a fantastic driver ! "
