Like a dream!!
I stayed at the lavender house with a group of my best girlfriends for a relaxing and healing winter bachelorette. This place is a dream stay! From the gorgeous curated space to the incredible views/property, I cant say enough great things! On our checkout day, all the girls agreed that we should have booked longer. We will avsolutely be coming back!

The property is located within natural environment with lots of trees around. The Google maps is not able to track the property but follow the directions provided by property owner. You will not have TV but lots of books to read. If you are looking for good getaway then this is the place.

Family Vacation
It was definately a winter wonderland with many trails to explore. The hosts were fantastic when we had an issue with water,it was resolved quickly. The kitchen needed some cleaning but it had everything we needed. It was a great family vacation one that will be remembered for a long time.

Most memorable family vacation
We stayed at the Lavender Cabin for 8 nights and it was magical. Don’t let the off grid, switch back roads scare you, once you arrive it is your own little piece of heaven! Secluded in the forest, surrounded by grape vines, chipmunks, lizards and woodpeckers you can enjoy the best view around! The house itself is amazing - the largest dining room table around will fit the whole family! We enjoyed many of the games and books and finished the puzzle we started on day 1. Our favourite room was the sunroom where we would enjoy our morning coffee with the lavender smells and plan the day. Maggie and Jeremey very helpful throughout the stay. We truly enjoyed the off grid experience - if you are looking to get away from city life and connect with your family, this is for you! Thank you Tin Poppy xoxox!!!

Challenging yet lovely
The home is beautiful, clean and has all the amenities you need. All of the beds have quality and clean linens and Maggie was extremely responsive to our needs. As I’m sure anyone can appreciate, the last thing you need after a long day of travel is to get lost in the bush. Don’t try to find this place at night and don’t follow google maps and don’t let the term, “tin poppy resort” confuse you. I will say the directions should state to follow turn right and follow the L’Arche Hills Forest Service road, as per the current sign. Despite the location/way-finding, it is a beautiful home and we enjoyed our stay.

Off the Grid Fun
We had an amazing time at Lavender Cabin! It was really roomy and had a quirky layout that we really loved. The fireplace and downstairs wood burning stove kept us toasty warm and there was plenty of games and room to play instruments, so we had a few singalongs. The dogs were never underfoot and the kitchen was roomy enough for many cooks at one time. We were all able to get into the property without 4X4, but it was slippery and muddy, so that is definitely a good recommendation. All in all, a great family weekend for those who enjoy the outdoors.

Beautifull!
The property was clean and elegant. We were surprised at the distance up the mountain, but once we were there the views and quiet were well worth it. The beautiful details in the furniture and artwork gave the property a real charm.

beautiful home, very impressed with what can be done with an off the grid situation. Luxurious even with the smoke, missed the view because of it. Well equipped kitchen and so comfy all around!

It was okay
The cabin is beautiful and quiet which is what we needed. The first day we stayed there was no hot water (they recently installed a new hot water heater). We text the owner and she was good about responding that night but the following morning (Saturday) started texting us at 6:50am and calling at 8:00am. Our 2 night stay was our only summer vacation and I wish I could have slept in without my phone waking me and showered the night before as we had been in the sauna before we realized the lack of water. I felt like I was roughing it for a somewhat pricey weekend and was not offered a discount.

Stunning view!
We weren't prepared for how gorgeous the view was, it was like looking at an ever changing painting! Maggie was extremely nice & the house was spacious yet very cozy & comfortable. The 2 screened in porches & the sauna were especially great. We had a lovely week. Thanks! -Phoebe

Do not use the HomeAway link to the property location!
The location of the property was wonderful, However we used the link on the HomeAway website to GPS us to the location. We ended up in the middle of a ski hill (literally). After coming down from the ski hill we got help from a local lady who was outside doing yard work. We are so thankful for her or else we never would found the place! Secondly, there was a lack of general supplies such as toilet paper and towels (Bath and cleaning) by the end of our stay we could only use the one bathroom because there was no toilet paper in the other. Considering our extended stay I feel we should have received some additional amenities to last the duration of our stay.

Serene setting with great view
We loved the peaceful environment away from the city life we are used to. Plenty of room for our family. Our children enjoyed a short hike on the property and spending a day at a beach close by. We enjoyed looking out over the valley while drinking our morning coffee and enjoying a warm fire on a cold evening. We would love to return some time.

Amazing getaway!
The Lavendar house at tin poppy was such a great way to spend a weekend! It was so private and cozy and the view was amazing. It truly was a great way to get away and relax with friends. There weee hiking trails near by and wine tasting. The cabin had everything we needed for the weekend and was super clean. I will definitely be coming back!
