Lady next door selling local cognac was very friendly. At night the sky was so dark, excellent for stargazing. The river charente is lovely for swimming in. Super!"

"Loved the outside area, pool is lovely and welcome with the heat in our 2nd week (~38C). Eating outside, under the cover of the wisteria plant was also a pleasure to avoid the sun. House is nice, particularly eating and living areas although the kitchen could be equipped better (utensils, mugs etc), but we managed ok. The house is old, but is in keeping with the other buildings in the area. However there are elements of the house that would benefit from being updated, e.g shelving in bathrooms,...

"Cadre agréable, calme, vacances reposantes, piscine raffraichissante. Propriétaires accueillants et discrets. Seul bémol, la location ne comporte pas deux chambres comme écrit dans l'annonce. Les couchages enfants sont dans l'espace salle à manger/cuisine et le couchage pour les adultes se trouve dans une pièce attenante séparée d'une cloison seulement au 3/4. Même si nous avons maqué d'intimité, nous avons passé un séjour agréable."

"The property had many attributes. The property is situated close by vineyards and farmland. It had a lovely orchard where the children could play freely, pick plums and apples which were later turned into cakes and crumbles as well as having a really lovely swimming pool. As the weather was hot the children and adults used the pool daily and had a great deal of fun. "Todo Genial! El entorno es muy tranquilo, rodeado de viñas, maizales y campos de preciosos girasoles. La casa es preciosa y espaciosa. Tiene todo el encanto de una casa de campo, decorada con gusto y está equipada con productos de calidad . La casa tiene espacios exteriores donde correr, jugar, descansar. La barbacoa muy bonita . Red, nuestro perro, también disfrutó muchísimo al tener tanto espacio para correr y jugar. Una gran experiencia."

The pool is a real bonus and Emma is a fantastic host always on hand if we needed anything but never intrusive. "Les proprietaires sont tres accueillants et tres discrets. La maison est fraiche en été car les murs anciens sont epais, ce qui est appreciable en periode de canicule. Le cadre est idyllique entre le jardin merveilleusement riche et la piscine au milieu d une vegetation luxuriante. Je recommande vivement cette location."
