Set within the grounds of our 17th Century stone house, The Old Stables, is a delightful, newly renovated open plan living cottage, set within its own grounds. 2 bedrooms, each with their own en-suite bathroom. The cottage has private patio area overlooking its own garden. Sleeps 4 comfortably, either 2 super-king beds or four singles. Additional sleeping for guest bed in each bedroom making a total of 3 beds in each bedroom (6 beds total). Each of the bedrooms and bathrooms comes fully furnished and equipped. Blackout blinds and curtains for your sleep comfort. We can accommodate 2 more in the house in king size bed (you will need to enquire separately for house). Guests can enjoy their own large private hot tub. Access to shared heated swimming pool and garden amenities (shared with owners). The Old Stables in set securely in the grounds of our house and is a separate dwelling to the main house. Off street parking on private drive for 2 cars. The cottage has all amenities required for your self catering stay including fully equipped kitchen with fan oven and induction hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer/oven and hob. Broadband can also be accessed from the pool area. The house is situated in the picturesque village of Barford St Martin, located around 6 miles from the cathedral city of Salisbury and World Heritage Site at Stonehenge. Barford St Martin is within the Nadder Valley and Cranbourne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The area is a Dark Sky Reserve which means you really can star gaze. The New Forest National Park is easily accessible for walking or cycling the many bike trails or take a trip to the picturesque villages of Brockenhurst, Lyndhurst or Lymington by the sea. The beaches of Bournemouth are within a 45 minute drive of the house or within an hours drive you can be exploring the beautiful Jurassic coast. Salisbury is very convenient for day trips to Dorset, Hampshire and Somerset. Enjoy a day in the UNESCO World Heritage City of Bath (around 45 minutes by car or train) or discover the beauty of Cheddar Gorge or Wells City and Cathedral. Stourhead and a multitude of National Trust and English Heritage Buildings are nearby. Alternatively, Wilton House and Longleat Estate and Safari Park are nearby and have plenty of attractions and events to keep you busy. The county of Wiltshire has much to offer the visitor and you can also enjoy a day trip to the Cotswolds. If you're looking for picture postcard villages, we have in abundance in the area.
