Right on the banks of the Arkansas River! Stay at the River Aerie, a beautiful condo perched above the Arkansas River. Aerie means "Eagles Nest." So relax on the deck and watch the river flowing underneath or scope out the wildlife, kayakers, and rafters! With a spacious master bedroom and wide open living area, this is the perfect riverside home base. Just a stroll away from Downtown Salida and all of its wonderful restaurants, shops and exciting night life. Twenty minutes away from Monarch Ski lodge and Monarch Crest Trail! All Pinon homes are "vacation ready" with a fully appointed kitchen, towels and linens. Hand, dish and shower soaps are provided, as well as toilet paper, trash bags, salt and pepper and coffee filters. Bring your own laundry detergent, paper napkins and toiletries.

Pinon Vacation Rentals provides guest support from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 pm.

All guests are responsible for reading Welcome Book “Check-In and Check-Out instructions.

~Acceptance of the terms of the Rental Agreement and all Rental Policies is ASSUMED at the time of reservation. Five to 7 days before arrival, check-in instructions will be sent to guest.

**This home is rented for personal vacation use only. Any other use including large gatherings or parties is not allowed. Renters must abide by all rental terms and policies, as well as all local applicable property covenants, restrictions, regulations and laws. Any evidence of smoking, use of firearms, driving ATV's other than in the driveway as access only, unapproved over-occupancy or pets, unauthorized use of property grounds, damage resulting from violation of rental policies, and/or excessive mess may result in charges up to $1000.00 to the Guest's credit card on file, as authorized by Guest's approval of the terms of the Rental Agreement.

Reservations may be canceled more than 30 days prior to check-in with full refund minus a $125 Cancellation fee or a $75 Change fee if applicable. No refunds will be issued after this cut-off date for any reason. No refunds will be issued due to weather conditions.**

This was our second time. We love this condo. Their deck is awesome. Suggestions: It would be an upgrade if there was the possibility of another place to sleep. I had a cold and had to sleep separate from my wife for one night. The couch is not comfortable for sleeping. It’s kind of broken down. The coffee maker was unusable. After making one pot of terrible tasting coffee, we went to Walmart and got a coffee system of our own. It was not operator error; we brought our usual coffee and filters that we use at home with a similar machine. The coffee maker was really dirty and may be uncleanable.

We had a wonderful stay in this spacious, clean condo! We loved relaxing on the back deck overlooking the Arkansas River. Beautiful view! The condo was close to several hikes and an easy walk into downtown Salida to shop and eat at restaurants!

After several visits we know we enjoy it. The price increase this year is steep. Not sure we’ll return. Couch cushions are worn out and lack proper back support. The sound bar for the TV in the living room has not worked for three (3) years. The kitchen knives and silverware need to be upgraded. We brought our own pillows for the bed this time and very thankful we did because they are much better than what’s on the bed. Otherwise, we obviously enjoy it enough to return over the years and bite the bullet on the price increase this year.

We really enjoyed our stay at River Aerie. The location was great, set along the River and within walking distance of all the restaurants in the historic downtown area of Salida. The condo was well appointed and very comfortable. It was a bonus to have a garage to keep the car in. We certainly enjoyed our time skiing at Monarch Mountain and returning each afternoon to River Aerie to relax. We will be back!

Just so relaxing and peaceful.
This location is everything you need to be a hermit holed up by yourselves, mentally recharging your batteries or to walk the incredible river to all the food, drinks and entertainment you want! The Arkansas River is our go to in Salida and has been for 20 years. This condo is very comfortable and beautifully furnished with everything you need. Communication is outstanding. They go above and beyond to make sure you’re happy while also clarifying obvious responsibilities on our part as renters.

Perfect One Bedroom
Our stay was all PROS…no CONS. The location was wonderful, the patio and view were delightful and the condo was comfortable with a great roomy floor plan. Well stocked and decorated. We watched the world float by on the river and took quick walks into town to dine at restaurants, shop, grab coffee/ice cream and watch the river surfing. We had a most enjoyable stay.

We truly enjoyed our stay. This is a beautiful condo, so many little details, very elegant. We loved the sauna shower, very comfortable king bed, guest robes were delightful, fireplace was so inviting and a garage for our car...what a plus.
