Make yourself at home at this 2 bedroom Victorian classic in historic Salida, Colorado. Salida is located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. This white picket fenced, corner lot offers views of some of the Rocky Mountains' finest 14er peaks. This homes location offers rafting, fly fishing, biking, hiking, mountain climbing, skiing and hot springs minutes from your front door.

Enjoy books, You Tube TV, WiFI and movies or walk a few blocks to downtown shops, galleries and cafes. Bring your bikes if you feel like a leisure ride along the Arkansas River or a mountain bike if you want to tackle the nearby trails. The private back patio is a shady haven for coffee or a BBQ or enjoy the swing on the front porch with a glass of wine and watch the local deer at the park across the street. This convenient and comfortable cottage is the perfect destination for two couples or a family of four wanting to be part of the neighborhood in this friendly town. Well behaved Dogs are welcome. Perfect little place
My friends and I had a great time! the sofa sleeper wasn't the best, luckily we didn't mind sharing the beds. Location was fantastic, the place is super cute I would definitely recommend it

we had a perfect time in this lovely house in Salida. it was everything we like about coming // staying in Salida - historic feel, nothing overly fancy and everything we needed was there. you know how sometimes, you stay at a place and think "gosh, I wish THIS was in the house", us too ... but here, we never said it once. cozy, comfy, great location. thanks for sharing your place with us and we hope to come back again !!

Amazing stay in Salida
I was so pleased with my five week stay here. The home is clean, cute, and has absolutely everything you could need. It's obvious the owners care for the place and stay here themselves. They were also quick to respond with any questions I had. My dog and I both loved the back yard - spacious, well maintained, beautiful big trees providing shade and the occasional deer hopping the fence. The location is perfect with shopping and restaurants within easy walking distance and a great Farmer's Market on Saturdays in the park across the street. Salida is also close to so many great areas to hike! I definitely want to return!!

At Home in Salida
Our family enjoyed our stay in this lovely little house tremendously. The house offered plenty of historic charm as well as creature comforts. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen fully functional. The yard provided a great place for our toddler and dog to run around, and hosted local deer as well. The best part of the house for us, however, was the location. It sits right on the edge of a park with a nice playground, and just four or five blocks walk from Salida’s shops, restaurants and the river. We loved exploring Salida, and used it as a base to visit a number of attractions within an hour of town. We’ll definitely be back!

Spacious & Adorable Mountain Home
We loved our stay at this home. Despite it's overall small size, it felt incredibly spacious and filled with light. We loved the vintage charm. This home is very comfortable and feels like a true home rather than a sparse vacation rental (which many can be). It has anything you could need for cooking as well as doing laundry, which we really appreciated. It was a great place to stay with our young pup, as well. The yard was perfect for her to run around in and a lovely space on it's own. The home was walkable to everything in downtown Salida which we definitely took advantage of. We would love to stay here again should we find ourselves in the area (which has tons of hiking, mountain biking etc). We know we only just scratched the surface.

My wife and I stayed here and loved the house! It is located close to restaurants and shops, a very easy walk. The house itself is really comfortable, and has a great yard. We would definitely stay here again, which is the highest compliment that I can give

Best spot in Salida!
I am so glad we ended up at this property! It was the absolute PERFECT location. You can walk or bike anywhere you could possibly want to go. The house itself is so cute. The kitchen was fabulous, we’d been camping about a week and I was so ready for a ‘real kitchen’. The yard was wonderful, we played croquet and bbq’d and watched stars and just enjoyed the breeze. Bathroom is new and really nice too. So grateful this is where we ended up.

This place is absolutely perfect catty-corner from a park maybe four blocks from all the shopping shops restaurants and River. The house is beautifully appointed the only thing you need to bring is yourself and enjoy a heavenly stay

Great Historic House
We enjoyed the house and location very much and would rent this house again. Only minor complaint is the need for a real dish strainer as we cooked ‘at home’ most nights.

Great little place in heart of Salida
We really enjoyed our stay here. The place was very clean, cozy and comfortable. Perfect location for walking to shops and restaurants. 20-ish minute drive to Monarch. Excellent communication from host and reasonable cost. Would definitely stay here again.

More than expected
Cozy house with all the comforts! Just as advertised and then some. It is so refreshing to find pots and pans that are in excellent condition and a high end grill. When I had an issue with a snowboard binding, boy was I relieved to find a screwdriver in the utility drawer. Just like home! The only driving we did was to and from Monarch since everything else was in walking distance. Watch out for ice on the sidewalks while staggering back from Benson's at night. The floors creek a little (as older houses do). Just something to keep in mind if you plan to sneak out undetected in the middle of the night. The owners are easy to contact and very helpful. Will definitely return!

Perfect!!!
Couldn't ask for a better property or better property owners. Went for a ski trip, however due to the COVID-19 we didn't get to ski. Still the location of this property was perfectly close to everything in town. We walked or biked into the downtown area, and hiking as well as just hanging out at the property. Steve was fantastic. Highly recommend this property. We will stay again in the future!

A great house close to everything!
We really enjoyed this house. It's a very short walk to downtown and was perfect for our group where some skied at Monarch while others just wanted to hand out and explore the downtown area. The front porch swing is a great place to hang out and read a book and there is a nice park across the street if you have small children. The house itself is very comfortable and has everything you need for preparing meals. We've used VRBO many times and this house was another great experience. Salida is one of our favorite towns to visit in Colorado and we'll definitely use this house again.

Love this Place!!
Beautiful setting!!!! What a great place for a retreat! This house is wonderful -- very clean and comfortable, with all the amenities!. The kitchen has everything…. appliances are modern and every tool and cooking accessory is there. The location is perfect. The house is across the street from a very nice park and just a short walking distance from shops, restaurants, grocery store, library, etc. Loved staying there!!!!

Downtown Charmer
This great house is located in walking distance to downtown Salida. Great location for access to the park, Hot springs, bike shops, restaurants, music venues, tubing/river....The house is clean and has plenty of great cooking gadgets for the in home meals. Salida is the perfect spot for access to so many outdoor activities. And this is the perfect place for 2 families to enjoy it.

Peaceful and Relaxing
This home is the perfect get-away for anyone seeking time away from stress and routine. You have a view of the mountains from the back yard and the deer will walk through your front yard at any given time. You may walk or ride the bicycles through the park (across the street) which places you in the town of Salida. We had no reason to drive the car our entire stay! The park offers an area to play with the children and provides a Farmers Market on the weekend with fresh fruit, vegetables, and fresh kettle corn! The home was very comfortable for 6 people and was extremely clean. The house has lots of charm and provides a premier location to mountain climbing, river rafting, and skiing. We were very sad that we had to leave this incredible stay as we became attached to the personality of Salida. We will definitaly stay at this home again.
