Casa Rural Can Cruanyes (Roure)

Can Cruanyes (Oak) is a unique holiday escape, immersed in the rich culture and stunning scenery of the Spanish Pyrenees, and perfectly situated between the mountains and the exquisite beaches of the Costa Brava.

From the ruins of the 400 year old farmhouse, three beautifully restored apartments have emerged, each retaining its own individual historic charm, while embracing some of the modern touches of interior design.

Secluded in twenty acres of peaceful woodland and paddocks, this Catalan farmhouse is a perfect destination for families, couples and friends. The large swimming pool, outdoor hot tub play area and games garden all have views up to the imposing peaks of the mountains or down to the valley beyond.
Roure is a private apartment with private terrace and access, however the grounds, gardens and pool are shared with 3 other smaller apartments.

Can Cruanyes resides within the foothills of the Pyrenees where you can enjoy beautiful rural and mountain surroundings while remaining well connected to local amenities and the beaches of the Costa Brava.

Please note if you are bringing a pet there is a separate charge of 8 euros per day per pet. There is a maximum of 2 pets. This is charged separately during your stay and you must advise us in advance that you are bringing pets.

Excellent time here
Donny was a wonderful host! He was knowledgeable on the area and friendly . He was very helpful . Even printed soccer tickets for us. We enjoyed meeting him and his family . The pool was an excellent addition . After a day in the heat we would enjoy a swim in the pool. So relaxing . Only thing was sometimes we would find ants in the kitchen while preparing food. We usually put our food up high and wiped the counter right after preparing and eating . Other than that a wonderful stay at Oak Can Cruanyes.

Beautiful setting
The owners are very welcoming and accomodating. The property and gardens are lovely and the surrounding countryside is beautiful. Good for walking and not far from several places of interest by transport. It is worth considering that the apartments are all in close proximity so you do get up close with your neighbours.

Beautiful property in tranquil setting
This is a wonderful spot to stay and relax but is still within reach of plenty of attractions - countryside, towns and the coast isn't too far away. From the moment we arrived Donny and his family made us feel very welcome and it was clear that they wanted us to enjoy our stay. It really did feel like we were sharing the facilities in their house. The property is well equipped and has a private space outside for eating and relaxing. The pool is a useful addition - particularly given the hot weather we experienced. There is also a large space with toys and playhouses and a barbecue area, so there is plenty of room for children to burn off any spare energy. There were a couple of things that needed attention while we were there but Donny was on hand to get them sorted. We certainly found it an advantage that the property remained a pleasant temperature even on the hottest days - old houses with thick walls have their advantages! It is a few years since the property was modernised - so don't expect everything to be brand new. Nevertheless we would be happy to recommend it. Thank you to Donny and the family.
