Beautiful, Historic Cabin Overlooking Creek and Waterfall
This was such a unique place to stay. It feels like you’re stepping back in time, in a good way. Everything was very comfortable and clean. The interior and decor all felt very authentic and honored the history of the property. The host was exceptionally helpful and responsive. I had to extend my stay unexpectedly and he was quick to assist and make sure I had everything I needed. It’s close to Auburn and Opelika, and there’s a Dollar General 3 minutes away for any essentials you might need. Will definitely stay again!
This was the second time I stayed here and would highly recommend it to everyone! It is a beautiful cabin with a fantastic view and an easy drive to Auburn through the countryside. The owners are great and communicate very well! I wish I could stay longer!
Spent the day hiking, then stayed here for the night. It was a nice end to the day. Loved the historical aspect if the house, and would love to know more about it.
This is such a magical spot! Everything was perfect and the description was just like it said! Beautiful and the host was top notch! I am definitely staying here again
This is the most cozy and peaceful property that I have ever experienced. The back porch is a little piece of Heaven on earth. The house is so clean, cozy, and comfortable. You are surrounded by peaceful nature sounds. The hosts are very friendly and make the check in/out process so easy. We are already planning our next stay!

This is a charming home that is perfect for a romantic getaway or a personal retreat. Bring a bottle of wine for the evening and croissants for breakfast with your coffee as you enjoy the view of the creek on the screened in porch.
If you are looking for a relaxing weekend get away then this is the place. The sounds of nature and the creek are very soothing. My only suggestion would be to bring a portable stove or grill if you plan on staying in for dinner. Lovely place
Lovely, historic, little gem.
The creek is inviting and peaceful. We spent the majority of the time on the screened in porch just listening to the sounds of the water and relaxing. Just what we needed, a restful weekend for our Anniversary.

This cabin on Uchee creek is simply beautiful. Everything you need and nothing that you don't. The scenery is magnificent. It's quiet, rustic and a gorgeous place to stay. There's a well stocked Dollar General 5 minutes away and it's only a 20 minute or so drive to the Auburn area. We will be staying here again!!
Hard to believe in just a one bedroom cottage everything that was needed was provided and in such a homey and inviting way. But no need to stay inside when you have the great outdoors to enjoy either on a screened in porch or on nice cushioned lawn chairs in the sun. The background noise is so soothing and the setting so peaceful.
The property met the exact description we read when booking it. Absolutely loved the fireplace and enjoyed hearing the water as we were laying down to sleep. Extremely clean and detailed. 10/10 will recommend to anyone wanting some 1 on 1 time with their partner especially. It was nice.
Well featured historic environment in old mill estate. Once we settled in with the little kitchenette we had an excellent relaxing time. The view from the screened in back porch or the deck over the creek with its rapids couldn‘t be better. The country road provides some traffic noise in the morning and is quiet at night.
Everything is as advertised and even more so! We were only there two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. We locked ourselves out and Joseph answered instantly on. Saturday night to assist us in accessing the home again. Remarkable weekend. Would definitely return.
We visited Auburn University on a football game weekend. The cabin is about 20 minutes from campus. We arrived after dark and had to drive by a couple of times to make sure we had the right place. (My fault though for not throughly reading the checkin instructions on location!) The cabin itself is charming, super clean, and the host emailed to check on us several times. I wish we had had time to enjoy the outdoor spaces! We would definitely stay here again.
The Meadows Mills House is wonderfully renovated but still maintains it’s original character and charm! It is welcoming and cozy and makes the most efficient use of space. The natural surroundings are beautiful and instantly calming. Host thought of everything - binoculars were a nice touch as were the yoga mats and weights on the screened back porch for a morning workout! Joseph is very responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend. We will be back!
It was a neat property, but we were surprised by the neighborhood behind it. It wasn’t noisy, but we had thought it was more remote because of the pictures. Also, the road is very close to the bedroom windows, so rather than water sounds, we heard cars much more clearly. The property is really pretty though, and the screen porch was a wonderful place to sit and watch the creek! The host was easy to communicate with through the app too.
The last 10 miles on the way to the property got us excited to see our secluded Vrbo because we felt like we were in the middle of nowhere..perfect! When we pulled in the rock driveway we immediately saw “the falls” and realized we’d be able to hear the Creek from our screened in porch, Jackpot! Our Vrbo is sitting right next the renovated & historic Meadows Mill House. The inside and backyard of our Vrbo is much more impressive than the outside. Everything is exactly as described but just a heads up about 2 things.
1) The couch lays completely flat (we didnt realize for 2 nights) so take the back of the couch down. :)
2) This Vrbo is right next to a rural road, you will definitely hear cars/trucks at night unless you use the powerful sound machine that was provided. (worked great for us.)
Great experience, enjoyed wading through the creek with our dog.
Joseph the Host was a pleasure to communicate with and promptly answered our questions.
