Come home to a tree lined street, quiet neighbors, and a newly refurbished house. It can all be yours here in Salem. We just finished a multi year renovation of this 1941 cottage. Everything in the house was built with your comfort in mind. Freshly finished antique oak floors, arched entryway, crystal doorknobs, etc. Everything inside the house is new, clean and luxurious.

Are you tired of looking at other peoples nick-nacks all over their Airbnb house? Not here! Everything is clean and pristine but homey and comfortable. Enjoy a very quiet stay in the neighborhood close to downtown Salem, Salem Hospital, Willamette University and wineries in the West Salem Hills. Day trips to the beach, Portland, Silver Creek Falls Park, and mountain skiing are easy from this house.

Relax by the fireplace in the living room or by the fireplace in the basement TV room. Watch our new 60 inch 4000k high def TV. This is your home away from home.

Come cut fresh flowers out of the garden each week all summer, fall, and spring. Lush landscaping with many old time flowers such as Lilac, Peony, Rhododendrons, Daffodils, Candy Tuft, Hydrangeas, Ferns, etc. Pick fresh tomatoes and blueberries right from the yard in the summer.

Why limit yourself to a hotel room when you can have a whole house for your stay. Enjoy staying in a newly renovated house in the center of Salem without putting any work into the yard or house! Pick fresh flowers each week all spring, summer and fall. It is all here for you.

Great Stay!
Great stay for a family event. The family room downstairs was nice, and having a lodge table and variety of beds was perfect. Very clean place, comfortable beds, and kind host.

This was probably the best vacation rental I’ve ever stayed in. Super clean, huge, amazing theater/game room, well stocked kitchen, nice bathrooms, comfy beds, and a great location. I plan on staying here again next year when I’m back in town.

Great property, it definitely has a cottage feel, close to the fairgrounds in a nice comfortable neighborhood. There is plenty of street and property parking. The house is also well stocked with all of the possible needs of your own home. We hope to be back!

The Garden Cottage is an excellent choice when visiting Salem. The rooms were spacious, the beds were extremely comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and wonderful! I rent 5-6 VRBO rentals every year and The Jefferson Cottage has all the markings of the finest one I have every stayed in. Super clean, amply stocked, very comfortable, walking distance to old town and state capitol building, and it's in a quaint neighborhood that is remarkably quiet. You cant go wrong with all these qualities and next time I stay in Salem I will be staying here for sure!

An Absolute Gem!

Charming Cottage!
We had a wonderful stay at the Jefferson Cottage! The owners have done a wonderful job in updating the home. The kitchen was somewhat small for our group of 4 adults but we made it work. Communication was quick and easy and the owner went above and beyond when we had trouble with the AC. The cottage was convenient to all of the attractions and hiking trails we visited. We enjoyed our stay!

This is a beautiful, well maintained, modern property. Lots of very helpful amenities like extra outlets and plug-ins for computers and phones. You could easily have more than 6 people here between the three floors of rooms, 2 bathrooms. There were only 3 of us and we had a lovely, comfortable time. The kitchen had lots of amenities to cook with. I can’t say enough good things about this house and the host. Would stay here again.

Cozy & Peaceful
The house is very inviting and cozy. It was perfect for our group of 6 adults. We loved having private spaces for each couple but also plenty of room to gather together. I will echo other reviewers who complimented the garden, it's stunning. And a charming place to start with a cup of coffee. I hope we'll be able to stay again when we're up there next year.
