"Nothing like the pictures when we booked. Very shabby accommodation. One indoor very crowded pool and No facilities on site, you have to go int Saumur which is a lovely city. You have to pay extra for bedding . Beds uncomfortable and furniture all very old. Definitely not worth the money. "

"Absolutely spectacular. We really enjoyed our time at Chateau de Candes. Bertrand and Sam went out of their way to ensure that our stay was as comfortable as possible. "Clean and peaceful. Plenty of space inside and out for kids to run around. Good access to local facilities and recommendations but need a car to explore. Useful to have washing machine. Beds and linen nice quality and lots of hot water. Locally a welcoming and excellent boulangerie and butcher in Montsoreau.
