Cottage at 7 is a place to immerse yourself in French regional life - wine, food & history.
Located in the heart of the XIII century bastide town Sainte Foy la Grande, it is a 'stone's throw' from the beautiful river Dordogne and famous Saturday farmers market. Walk to cafes, restaurants & bars, indulge in artisan patisserie, bread & chocolate…discover the ramparts & arcades…hire a bike or just dawdle on the Dordogne!
The train station is a 10 minute walk and gives easy access to other historic towns such as Bergerac (20 mins), St Emilion (20mins), Bordeaux (1 hour), Sarlat (1 h 20m).
Cottage at 7 : Ground floor boasts a full-sized modern kitchen equipped with dishwasher, fridge, cooktop & oven, microwave, kettle & toaster plus 'traditional' coffee presse, pots & pans, glassware, dinnerware, you need to make the most of the local produce, be it croissant & coffee, or a degustation! The dining table seats 6.
We provide you with pantry basics such as tea, coffee, sugar, s & p, olive oil, vinegar, mustard etc.

Snuggle up on the leather couch to read a book or watch Smart TV or play on your iPad. Wifi is free and there are USB charger points in the living room + 2 bedrooms.
The downstairs bathroom contains a toilet, basin, washing machine & tumble dryer + iron & board.
There is a connecting door to the small garage which can be used for storage of bikes, etc.
Cottage at 7: Upstairs are 3 bedrooms with queen sized beds. Two rooms have wardrobes, bedside tables & lamps plus USB charger points. The third has a Futon sofa bed. Beautiful linens, lots of pillows provided.

Lovely property!
This property was very comfortable and centrally located in the village and only a block away from the Dordogne river. The host, Sharyn, made sure the vrbo was well stocked with everything you could possibly need. It was a perfect getaway from Paris.

Great central location
Sharyn was such a wonderful host. She was so accommodating and provided everything one could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The house is in a great location. Parking is not a problem. It’s close to restaurants and shopping and steps away from the Saturday open market. We would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful!
This is such a beautiful property - a real gem!. It has everything you could possibly need for a very comfortable stay right in the heart of the town. We absolutely loved it! The additional small touches of leaving essential supplies of milk and butter in the fridge for our arrival showed what a great, considerate host Sharyn is.

We had not explored Sainte Foy La Grande before. We were delighted by the market, choice of restaurants and the proximity of the local cafe. Sharyn’s property was spotlessly clean and comfortably accommodated our needs. It is on a very picturesque street with the Dordogne river close by. Many thanks.

Perfect location
The house was very comfortable and it’s location was perfect. Parking was easy. Don’t miss the Saturday market. As Americans we especially appreciated having top sheets on the bed. Sharyn was a pleasure to work with.

Great home base in western end of Dordogne region.
Outstanding renovation of a very old building. The outside appearance will give you pause but everything inside is clean and modern. The amenities provided by the host are absolutely best in class. Parking is free and plentiful in front of the apartment.

Sweet 1st holidays in family - Perfect
What a wonderful stay in Sharyn and Steve’s House ❤️ The description and photos are the same as reality : well decorated, perfectly equipped and cocooning. The house is very close from the Dordogne, only 30secondes, the village is animated (big market on Saturday, shops, town hall and night market on Tuesday night : during August) And lots of cities to visit and things to do : Sarlat, Eymet, Saint-Emilion, Monpazier, Beynac-et-Cazenac, La roque Gageac// paddle, canoe, boat, walk, swim : you will not get bored! And Sharyn did all her best to make us feel comfortably: steels and towels were changed every friday, dusbin putted out every wednesday, butter and fresh milk in the fridge the 1st day : So RARE attentions! The host, Sharyn is a really kind person and she will make her best to make you feel like in your own home 💝 If we can, we will get back with pleasure!! Mooie woning in het centrum.
Heerlijke wandelvakantie gehad. Het was na het wandelen goed thuiskomen in dit comfortabele huis. De eigenaren zijn gastvrij en vriendelijk. Alleen jammer dat er geen tuintje bij is. Maar je bent in zo'n 20 mtr bij de Dordogne. Wij waren alle dagen buiten aan het wandelen richting Santiago de Compostella.het was een prima gite voor ons. Dank je wel Sharyn.
