"This was a lovely old house from another era, an adorable private garden and situated at the quiet end of a lovely village. Could use some renovation and a more modern kitchen, if you were going to stay longer than a few days, but was fine for our short stay. Mr. Tixier was available just around the corner and by phone at a moment's notice which we really appreciated. He was responsive and nice--the things you need when travelling, as we were, in another country :) "

The house was so clean, the two bathrooms were a godsend so no hanging about waiting for them to become vacant. Lovely sitting area outside even though it was a bit chilly in the evenings. Local area is full of lovely places to visit."

"The house has a fantastic pool and pool area and dining area which we all enjoyed spending a lot of time in. However, the area had a lot of mosquitoes which were problematic at night time. The listing did not say the neighbouring house had two dogs (although very lovely and friendly) which were often in the garden and we had to remove their mess a few times which wasn’t very nice. The wifi did not work throughout the house - only in the living room. We also had a problem with a bat in the attic...

"The property was very comfortable and well equipped, a 15 minute walk to the centre of Tremolat across the bridge. The garden and field between the house and river are lovely -lots of birds and butterflies. The tables inside and in the garden were great for our party of 5 and would be fine for 6 to 8. As described, there are two master bedrooms with ensuites, one of which is located on the top floor and the other on the bottom floor (i.e., two floors apart). "This was our 2nd stay in the property (albeit 16 years between visits) and it didn’t disappoint. The property is spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The views are amazing, and the sight of the hot air balloons rising through the mist in the mornings is spectacular. The local village is very quiet but it is only a few minutes drive to Beynac-et-Cazenac and into the Dordogne valley with all its sights and attractions. "Lovely property located down a track providing an isolated location. The charming house is set within the grounds which are completely secure. A big plus for us with two dogs which had a fabulous time running around and us not worrying if they could escape. It was like living in a park. So much space and tranquility. House well equipped. "A fabulous little property which is perfect for a couple. The location is private from the house and very well equipped, the salt water pool is lovely. Access to the bedroom and bathroom is via a spiral staircase - so not suitable for anyone with mobility problems. The agents were very helpful and the information comprehensive. A real gem."

"We were a party of 5 young at heart seniors who enjoyed every minute. The accommodation was of a high standard and a lot of thought went into the detail to make our stay 5*. The beds were very comfortable and the ensuites immaculate. The weather at the time was hot and we made use of the lovely pool and aircon. "The property is about 10 kilometres outside Les Eyzies. The stone house is well-equipped but is dark and smells of damp. It is surrounded by countryside but does not have views; the swimming pool is on a different property. Apparently it is normal in France for VRBO's not to provide sheets or towels."
