The house and garden were great for our family - the children loved the animals and there was so much outside space for them to play and for us all to have our meals. "We can't really rate this hotel fairly as when we arrived they said they hadn't received the booking from hotels.com! It was a night we had redeemed one of our reward nights and paid extra for. We were given a room down the road in the house that one of the staff lives in which was hastily cleaned for us! Ok but not what we had paid for. We did use the pool and had breakfast at the hotel. "Booked at last minute for a short break with a friend. House had everything we needed for our stay. Owner lives in part of house next door but he keeps himself to himself and left us to it so it isn't an issue. Great location to discover places in the area. Only downside is nothing in walking distance for the evenings so you have to rely on a car but otherwise great."
