"Overnight stay in beautiful city of Dole. Room basic but clean with integral shower room (module type). Very convenient for trip to the Alps from England. Friendly with bar, and easy walk into town centre. On street parking have to pay after 8pm."

"A lovely little hotel within easy walking distance of the Old Town. It was very hot when we stayed, and there is no air conditioning, but the fan provided in our room was both efficient and quiet. We had a room towards the back of the hotel on the 1st floor, with a window that opened over a small courtyard, and had no problems with noise. The staff were very helpful. "Dining was extremely limited (dinner and breakfast). Staff did not seem to know what food choices were and no choice for vegetarians. Shower which was powerful could not change the direction of the head which resulted in the bathroom getting flooded. On the positive side it is close to Beaune if you have a car."

"Very good location for travel UK to final destination either France or Switzerland. We didn’t use the Spa will do one day. Dinner nice but not memorable. Trout and cream with horseradish was very pretty but had obviously been frozen and had that tasteless feel. Steak was very good nicely cooked and vegetables which you don’t often get in French restaurants. "
