"When we booked we were not told of the fun fair that was to take place. Roads around the hotel were closed off and fairground rides were within 15ft of our bedroom window. The noise was horrendous even with the window shutters closed. This did not help on a hot night with no room aircon. The hotel reception were totally disorganised and i had to search for help to book in, likewise when booking out. All the parking spaces around the hotel were filled with fairground rides. "We enjoyed our stay here -- it's a nice house with a great view, and we appreciated being able to use it as a base for exploring this part of the country. We had no concerns at all -- everything about the property was exactly as described. The remoteness is part of the appeal -- though it does mean that it's not easy to pop out to a shop for something you might have missed/forgotten. With good planning, it's a really appealing place."
