"After being in some other congested, urban areas of France it was a really nice break to stay in a hotel on the edge of town, with a nice river flowing by and lots of greenery. It took about 30 minutes to walk into the central part of town, most of which was along the river on a quiet road. "

"Whatever your expectations for a five star luxury hotel, this property exceeded them. We have never been treated so personally, so warmly, and so professionally. From the minute, we arrived by car, they expected us, handled the check-in, and moved us to the front desk, where we were welcomed personally. "This was a lovely, peaceful property where we could unwind from our other travels. The little town was completely walkable and welcoming. The market is a "must" for anyone coming to this town. Patrick and Sabine were wonderful hosts. Would love to visit again and will recommend their hotel to others."

"We really enjoyed our stay. It's a nice house, well equipped, clean and with a walled outside area which was great for our dog. The pool is great and the air conditioning came in handy on the last, very hot day. The location in the Villages-du-Rhône is great. We could get everywhere we wanted to go within a 20min drive. "Sent by Copilot: Mere Germaine Hotel in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, France I recently stayed at the beautiful Mere Germaine Hotel in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and I have nothing but great things to say about it. The hotel itself is stunning, with breathtaking views from the terrace. I stayed in a two-story room with a mezzanine and a terrace, which added to the charm and comfort of my stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. Breakfasts were a highlight, featuring delicious fresh breads and other tasty options. I also treated myself to a massage and enjoyed some time in the jacuzzi. While the jacuzzi could have been a bit hotter, I didn’t ask the staff to adjust it, so it’s possible they could have made it warmer. Parking was conveniently located about half a block away, but I found that I didn’t need my car much at all. The hotel is within walking distance of several vineyards, where I enjoyed tours and tastings. Additionally, the ruins and numerous restaurants and wine bars are just a short walk away, making it easy to explore the area on foot. Overall, I highly recommend Mere Germaine Hotel for its beautiful setting, excellent service, and convenient location. It’s a perfect spot for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Châteauneuf-du-Pape."
