"This place is a little gem, nested in the countryside with a fantastic vibe. The host is extremely kind and clearly made a great work with the place, the room was perfect for my family of 4 and we all loved the stay. The breakfast was definitely the best in our month-long vacation in France. When going again to the Loire valley, I'd definitely be coming back a La Source de Bury to use as a base to visit the many castles in the area."

"Not what we expected very surprised to find loo and bathroom on ground floor and shared with all inhabitants of the house. So surprised during a pandemic that only used things to a minimum also no hand gel provided. Do not feel house was made to be a BnB more like barging into someone's private house."

"Everything about the place was spot on! The Manager and his wife was delightfully helpful in everything from there local information to the history of the property. Could not do enough for me down to preparing a very early breakfast before leaving for a long drive to Paris Orly Airport. I would visit Le Grand Saint-Mac in Vendôme again."

"After a long drive we stepped out of the car and into heaven! Set in a beautiful garden we had a lovely room. There was a kitchen with fridge freezer so we could keep our provisions fresh. A wonderful breakfast with homemade jams and local cheeses. "

"I arrived at night. Off a main road you suddenly enter into a different world. Going down gently through the park I saw a couple of sheep. I was welcomed by Mme La Comtesse and shown to my beautiful room. Lovely period decor with all modern amenities. Even a decanter with port ! Very quiet. And in the morning what a view ! Grand dining room for breakfast. Everything is served to perfection. All food is homemade, even the jams. It was lovely to have conversation with people from all over with...

"We had a fantastic week staying at the gite. We were a party of 8 and we had plenty of room - having two separate houses also worked really well for us. The pool is lovely - a great size, clean, heated and in a lovely setting. The location is beautiful, in the grounds of the chateau, and we enjoyed eating at the large table outside under the tree. The hosts were very friendly and helpful - thank you! In terms of eating out, we had a really delicious meal at the restaurant Aux Trois Pastoureaux...
