"Great homely guest house near the seafront in Westcliff. Comfy bed and spacious room. Tasty full English breakfast. Nozzle on room radiator was broken but staff were able to turn it off for me. They stored my luggage the day I left. Would definitely return!"

From the small red door to come in, to taking my shoes off inside, the classical music playing on entrance, the beautiful fireplace and welcome area, the suit of armour, the staircase, the 4 poster bed, the free standing bath...I could go on and on but this is possibly my favourite hotel I've ever stayed in. "Rooms were great, big, clean and well equipped, the bar and restaurant downstairs were lovely and the food amazing. But what made it was the service from a young chap behind the bar Matt or Mark (forgive me can’t remember), went above and beyond!! "

"Overall very happy with the room and the stay. The bathroom being separate from the room the towels would be better left in there. Bed was comfortable however the bed moves if you’re resting against the headboard which is attached to wall and not bed. The shower head needs to be attached to the wall as there is no holder to use it unfortunately there was a boiler in the way "

"This hotel was just perfect with sea view and a great balcony. Hotel was clean also,but it could of done with more coffee in room and little fridge with water and others drinks in ect.... A dressing grown and slippers for more of a comfortable touch would just be perfect and a grate finish overall the staff was very nice and helpful, look forward to are stay again."

"Perfect friendly welcome from the lovely girl on reception, was transfered from a local crack den called Stifford Clays farm due to double booked so was so relieved to stay in such a nice hotel with friendly pleasant staff, would certainly stay here again"
