"Room was poor. I asked if we could gave another chair in the room as there was two of us. I was reminded i was in an economy double, so no chance. In-room tea bags. From all 4 corners of the world, but English breakfast tea - no chance. Breakfast was warm and that's being generous. Server said it's because people keep opening and closing the food containers. Because of a long journey i asked reception if there was any quiet rooms. She said all rooms were quiet - not so. Thus hotel comes across...

"This is a lovely hotel and the staff are very helpful. We stayed in low season so it was not busy. We enjoyed the location from where we could stroll into town. About 20mins. There is a bus stop directly outside the hotel."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the quality of the service, cleanliness, bar, restaurant, food etc etc. The employees were great too. However, the hotel is not ideal for someone that has impaired mobility or uses a wheelchair, because of steps within the common parts of the building and does not have a lift to access the upper floors' bedrooms. "Lovely stay at the Royal Hotel. Staff were very friendly, room was fine, beds not the most comfortable, maybe a little too warm. Location a short walk from center of town. Breakfast selection was very good, as it was out of season it was not a buffet, but cooked to order. Free car parking is a big positive. Overall a good stay! "
