"A stale kitchen smell hung around the reception and permeated the building. No lights were on and it was like entering a dark cave. I normally like quaint old hotels but this was just down at heel and dispiriting. The photographer must be very clever as the reality was dismal. The sauna was an extra 55 Euros so we didnt use it and didn't eat there as the stale smell was so unappetising. We would not have stayed except that we had booked and paid in advance."

"We had the most amazing holiday in this beautiful chateau. We were x4 families and the house was extremely comfortable with plenty of activities to keep the kids and adults entertained (table tennis, foosball, swimming pool, extensive grounds for football, walks etc). The swimming pool is beautiful and we were lucky with the weather and thankfully there is plenty of space indoors to retreat into when it is very hot outside! "I imagine its just the age of the hotel showing and not so much the upkeep. We reserved this after showing up to 5 Themes and it being a room in the owners house. We weren’t comfortable staying there so we stayed here. It was the right decision. Definitely not a bad place and I won’t talk bad about it but I do think they could change a few things. That is all"

The hosts are every attentive, and although we can't speak french very well and their english was limited Google translate saved the day, especially at meal time when we sat with Celine and her family"

Great little pool and loverly hot tub made hot days and evenings very relaxing and great fun. Beautiful cottage in loverly gardens with everything on hand for a fantastic getaway. We used as a base and travelled to Tours,, Le Mans. Alençon and other local spots. The host Bruno was great and could not be more helpful if he tried which made our break all the more relaxing as we new he was on...
