"This very clean and comfortable cottage is in the country a short drive from Sainte Emilion. Quiet, pastoral setting. It was out base for drives in the area and for a relaxing time at the end of the day. We opted for the breakfast which was very reasonable and delish - yougurt, fruit, pastries, juice and coffee. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful. The furnishings were modern and comfortable. Everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay."

"Thé gite was a lovely home very well equipped with absolutely everything one could wish for. Loads of games to play and a beautiful swimming pool in front of the gite. Our hosts were friendly and very hospitable and available if needed but also respected the privacy of their guests. Thé gite is surrounded by fantastic vineyards… lots of wine tasting !! Also central for visits to Bergerac and Bordeaux.. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

"Everything exceeded our expectations, Gîte de la Salagre is a diamond in the Bergerac countryside, surrounded by vineyards, it has everything, Serge et Béatrice are wonderful hosts and thought of everything. We would definitely return."

Great Chateau hotel stay near St Emillion
"Come here with a car, it is further away from anything. The navigation apps find this place without issues. Lots of parking available. About 15 minutes drive to St Emillion. This Chateau independent hotel was excellent with friendly and helpful staffs, good dine-in fine local restaurant, very good wine, Air conditioner worked well, beds were supportive and very clean, Tub-Shower with 1/3 glass door and with very good hot water pressure. Cleaning staffs did their job well. Rooms were large with partly modern upgrades, layout was a little funny but no issues for us given it is a old chateau. No elevator but just one set of large stairs and the staffs willingly to help you with the luggages. Great stay A+"
