"A delightful property in a stunning location in the middle of the Dordogne countryside. The house has plenty of grounds in which to roam or play and the family particularly enjoyed the swimming pool and games room. All facilities are provided in the house and if we wanted any additional equipment, such as a barbeque, we only had to ask. Eileen and Richard were the perfect hosts and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. We had a perfect, relaxing week and will definitely be returning."

It's exactly how it looks and described on the website - clean, comfortable, well furnished with great facilities - swimming pool and area around it, gardens, table tennis, pertanque, badminton, table football and bikes to hire. "Our two year old son loved the outdoor area: chasing the ducks, watching tia the dog and the horses being cooled down with water. The sandpit (boulles area!) was his favourite and we really appreciated the fenced swimming pool with 2 locks. No need to bring any toys, lots of games were provided. "We loved our stay at Claudine and Gérard's gite. They meet us upon arrival and everything went very smoothly. Gérard showed us around the gorgeous apartment which looks brand new and has every kitchen utensil you could ever need. The air con is a real plus in bedrooms and lounge/kitchen area but the real treat is the large very clean gorgeous swimming pool. "Les Valades is perfect for a holiday in this beautiful area of France. It is clean, quiet and has everything you need. The owners helped with bike hire before we arrived and easy to contact throughout if we needed them. The house is in a quiet area, overlooking fields where you spot deer, wild boar and birds of prey but is only a short drive to Issigeac (which is just wonderful) or Bergerac. We loved our stay and would highly recommend Les Valades."

"For the price I paid I was VERY Happy with Résidence Lagrange Vacances Le Clos des Vignes. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location right next to the park / beach . We ate out most of the time but everything appeared to be within the apartment for those who eat in. Furniture a bit jaded, but again for what I paid for it I can't complain. Would definitely return.
