Treehouse is a well appointed comfortable three bedroom three bathroom home, with a heated pool, situated on a tranquil canal. It as the pictures show (December 2022).
The house features hardwood floors and cathedral ceilings. The ample windows flood the home with light, and provide views of the mangroves leading to the bay.
The property is five minutes by boat to Pine Island Sound (and some of the best fishing in Florida) and three minutes by car to local waterfront restaurants and the general store.
Inside, the Treehouse has all the amenities you would expect; high capacity washer and dryer; high end appliances; custom kitchen and wifi and cable TV. Downstairs, there is a large covered area for outside dining with a picnic table and gas barbecue next to the pool and dock. The pool receives sun until late afternoon, with lots of covered areas for when it gets too hot. The dock has space for a 30' boat and the 5000lb lift may be available for a fee.
The home feels spacious and inviting - 14 foot ceilings and french doors opening out onto a wide porch which faces east, so you can sit and have coffee watching dawn break over the trees and canal.
The shaded area under the house adjoins the pool deck and has access to an air-conditioned room and bathroom. This is the perfect place for eating outdoors, or hanging out in the shade.
The pool is surrounded by palms - Travellers, Arecas and Foxtails, and leads to the large dock (composite, so no splinters in bare feet.) Off the dock you can catch sheepshead, trout, jack and snook, or just sit in the sun and watch manatees and the occasional dolphin (if you bring your boat, the lift may be available on request).
The neighbourhood is quiet and calm with ample places to cycle or stroll. You are less than 5 minutes by car to Woody's, The Waterfront, The Low Key Tiki, The Ragged Ass, The General Store, the small local fish market and the local hardware store. There's even shaded parking for your car, so it won't be 4 million degrees inside when you need to go to the store.
The canal leads directly to San Carlos Bay (southern Pine Island Sound). Take a kayak and you'll find a broad sheltered bay with hidden mangrove trails. Take a boat and on your way to the Sound, you'll pass people who've travelled miles to fish minutes from your dock.
Within 10 minutes of leaving the dock you'll be at the southern tip of Pine Island, deciding to turn East to the Gulf, Fort Myers Beach and the Caloosahatchee, or West to Sanibel, Captiva, North Cap, Cayo Costa and the Gulf beaches, plus some of the best flats and pass fishing on the planet.
