"Three of us stayed here for a fortnight. Wonderful host. The property was fairly new, clean and comfortable. Could do with some more hooks to hang things on. It’s rural setting is lovely and we really enjoyed our drinks and cheese outside on the deck in the evenings watching the sunset. Pontgibaud is quite close by and has everything you need, even walking distance to restaurants. "We enjoyed our stay here -- it's a nice house with a great view, and we appreciated being able to use it as a base for exploring this part of the country. We had no concerns at all -- everything about the property was exactly as described. The remoteness is part of the appeal -- though it does mean that it's not easy to pop out to a shop for something you might have missed/forgotten. With good planning, it's a really appealing place."

"This chalet has a lovely view of the lake and the wooded hills. A lovely view at breakfast and during the evening meal. The chalet was very well appointed with all necessary utensils. While I loved the lake, trips to Puy de Dome and Massif de Sancy were also within an hour's drive. All in all a lovely introduction to the Auvergne."
