Your peaceful beach home on St. Helena Island is waiting for you. R Anchor House is a spacious three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath home that comfortably sleeps eight, making it the perfect base for a family vacation! Guests can get their beauty rest in one either the king or queen-sized beds or opt for the queen-over-queen bunk beds.

The living room features a flat-screen television and plenty of seating. The home also features an electric fireplace for cooler evenings. Enjoy cooking in the fully-equipped kitchen, with its island for food prep along with a collection of various cooking spices, and dine together at the eight-person table with additional seating found in the kitchen. For your convenience, the kitchen comes replete with aluminum foil, detergent, and other kitchen basics. There is also a gas grill for use, as well as a ping pong table.

Head to the porch to relax, settle in a lounge chair, and just the wooded seclusion. There is also a screened-in porch and a large patio for you to enjoy the great outdoors. The sound is only 200-yards away, and the spacious lawn offers plenty of room to play games or for the kids or dogs to run around. Spend the evenings or any rainy days playing ping-pong in the garage. The garage is also equipped with an electric car charger.

The waterfront in Coffin Point is a fantastic place to fish and kayak. While the beach is not ideal for swimming due to oyster beds, it is a great walking beach, building sand castles, watching tiny crabs scurry away, and sun bathing. You can spend many hours enjoying nature and peaceful quiet; seeing maybe a handful of people all day. You can head to Hunting Island State Park, five miles away to swim at one of the best beaches in the area with a car pass that is included.

Appropriately named "Doggie Day Care", the area features comfy bedding, food and water dishes, pee pads, and even a window so that your dog can take in the view! Please note: up to 2 dogs are accommodated for an additional fee of $300 plus tax.

We also include a FREE golf cart for your stay!

*Part of the charm of this home is that it is located on a sandy road, thus eliminating traffic and road noise, but on extremely rainy days may not drain like a paved road.

We had a wonderful time. The house was very clean and we loved the screened in patio! We also enjoyed playing bags in the yard and having bonfires at night!! The beach was a very short walk which was great! I would definitely stay there again!

The house was the perfect size and was quite charming, it was the perfect distance from the beach, and the beach was perfect for sitting and reading and listening while watching the beach wildlife. R Anchor House was wonderful. It was much like described in the listing, and was perfect for two families with kids traveling together. We loved the beach and visiting surrounding areas, but the Coffin Point neighborhood was so peaceful and the neighbors were very friendly! I would definitely stay here again!

Great Beach Vacation!
Our trip to St. Helena couldn’t have been better. The house was perfect for our family of 5, the kids loved the garage, the golf cart and the yard. The many outdoor areas gave everyone their own space. The kitchen was fantastic for us who like to cook and grill. We went to Hunting State Park everyday to go the beach and each day was a new adventure. We also loved all of the local restaurants. We would definitely come again!

Family Beach Getaway
We loved the remoteness of the house, yet the nearness to the beach. The house was well stocked, except I wished for a shell book. We loved having the golf cart for trips to the beach and for touring the little area where we were. Quiet, peaceful mornings and evenings were wonderful. We would certainly go back to R Anchor House!

Just what you think a beach house should be, it is....
Peaceful place back a sandy road feels remote but easily a 15 min drive to any convenience or grocery store, short walk to beach, friendly neighbors, spacious rooms, awesome big basement, fully stocked cabinets and closets that you can restock (pay it forward) so the next family has an awesome stay just like we did. My stay was very peaceful and relaxing and Great which it made it easy on me to picking up my New Marine, the house was 30 minutes from Parris Island, Loved the drive and the sight see on the way. The house had something for everyone in my party. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I love the yard space for the kids and Goft Cart to take the kids to the beach. Family beach trip
Property had all we could ask for and more to enjoy our week. Plenty of space for family of 5 and dog. Area was quiet including the beach so we felt comfortable taking our dog to the beach. House had plenty of kitchen gadgets and cookware and good supply of cooking basics(spices etc), some beach supplies too which was great. There are family games and some movies there as well to help keep people entertained in between beach trips. We also liked having the state park parking pass.

Awesome stay
Beautiful and clean home just as described. The kitchen is well stocked and organized. The screened in back porch was one of our favorite spots. The golf cart was also great, we loved taking it for an afternoon ride and to the beach. I wouldn’t advise swimming at the beach area due to the oyster beds but its a beautiful beach, we enjoyed walking and exploring the area and watched a beautiful sunset and sunrise. Everything was truly great, our only regret is we didn’t stay long enough!!

St. Helena Island House
The property was lovely and clean. There was plenty of room for our family of four and room to spare. The property is about a twenty minute car ride to Beaufort. The property is a ten minute car ride to a nice beach at Hunting Island State Park. Th e hosts provide a pass to Hunting Island State Park which was much appreciated. The house is a five minute (or less) walk to a beach that's great for walking -- swimming might be a problem because of oyster beds.

Beautiful pet-friendly home just off the beach
Beautiful, comfortable, well-equipped, pet-friendly home just off the beach, nestled among large trees, families of deer, playful squirrels and cute little lizards. The kitchen has everything a cook could need. The bathrooms had plush towels and provided travel-size toiletries. The house even had a washer and dryer allowing you to pack less. A table large enough for eating and puzzling, decent cable for rainy days and ping pong and air hockey. Our family’s favorite goodie was the state park pass - we loved our visits to the park! Highly recommend this property.

Great, well-stocked house!
The house was lovely and had everything we needed. We stay in lots of VRBOs and this one was the best stocked one we’ve ever stayed in. Our 2 1/2 year old grandson was very fond of the back porch and the golf cart rides to the beach. Having the enclosed porch was great to have a confined outdoor place to play. We used the provided pass for Hunting Island and enjoyed it very much, especially in the mornings. It’s a great place to take little ones and easy to manage them because it’s not crowded early in the day. We would definitely recommend this house to friends and we’d stay here again ourselves!

House is beautifully decorated and extremely well stocked. Great amenities included. Hunting island park pass was a great bonus that saved us quite a bit because we were at the beach there frequently. It was great to have access to the golf cart. Got a call from the concierge service the day after our arrival making sure all was ok. Kitchen was the best stocked kitchen we have ever had. We love to cook and had everything we needed. Beautiful screen porch on back of house. It is very obvious the owners have taken great deal of thought in the house and what is included to have for vacation rental. Highly recommend this place and would go back to it!

Beach Get Away with Old Friends
This place was an absolute gem all the way around! Communication was amazing from start to finish! The property was extremely clean and had nice touches throughout! We enjoyed the screened in porch the most. Even though the weather was gloomy with some rain, we had a blast sitting on the porch playing games, eating, laughing and drinking our morning coffee! We could see the beach and hear the waves from this porch, which made it even better. The walk to the beach was easy and we enjoyed collecting shells. The location of the home is in a remote wooded area with lots of wild life. We saw deer, rabbits and lots of birds! Hunting Island is a must see! Having the pass was a nice touch. We loved everything about this place! Thank you for making it so special!
