"We were so happy with our stay here. We had an extended family visit to see puy du foy. The accommodation was very large and perfect for our big group, the grounds were beautiful and the children loved the outside space. We would not hesitate to stay here again. The host was beyond helpful and was very kind after my daughter twisted her ankle in the garden (entirely her own fault as she fell over a football the children had been playing with)."

The room was basic but quite spacious and had everything we needed as we stay 3 nights to visit Puy du Fou (5 min by car). "Beautiful chateau a little bit out of the way, Main restaurant is very good, make reservations. Room was large and comfortable. Staff was helpful. No elevator on the top floor is problematic. "

"While we were a little nervous about the somewhat shabby area around this small, quiet hotel, we were quite happy to enter and find an immaculately clean, modernized facility. The parking area, while not a garage, fell safe and secure. The staff was incredibly welcoming and kind, the common areas fresh and modern and the room so clean and sparkling! Absolutely the only reason I had to take off a star was because the mattress really could use replacing. It felt old and I could feel the springs....

"We had a wonderful time. Stephane met our early arrivals to let them in and the whole party of 24 - great grandparents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins all enjoyed the lovely pool and grounds- with plenty of space for cricket, badminton and board games. Stephane was very helpful when the dishwasher didn’t work- coming up to replace it immediately. We had wonderful weather and really enjoyed Kayaking in Lusignan. We would love to return"

"Very helpful staff on reception. We arrived by bike and as they had no bike storage they switched us to a larger room on the ground floor with space for our bikes. Great breakfast too."

"this is not an hotel. you have to make your own bed, they do not provide any towel, and there is a note asking you to take out the bedsheets and clean before you leave. It is kind of a camping site composed of cheaply made bungalows, more or less clean, 2 bedrooms + 1 sofa, 6 persons total, furnished, equipped, dishes and pans. "Staff good . Bedding clean and comfortable. Air conditioning not working, mouldy shower ceiling, carpet very worn. Whole hotel needs a revamp. Breakfast buffet not great choice. Overpriced. Car parking very easy and hotel was not noisy. Would not use again unless keen to stay in Parthenay."

Perfect to switch off and relax

"Perfect size for a family of four! Not too big, ideal as a holiday home. The kitchen has all that is needed and sitting room and dining room was particularly handy on the one really wet day that we had. The big selling point for this property, is the outside space, and particularly the pool area! Many an hour was spent chilling by the pool and most lunches/dinners were had facilitated by the pool area kitchen (hob and BBQ were very much utilised) - which is definitely an asset for this property. Our dog also loved all the different areas of the garden - which is completely secure, so there were no worries about where she was at any time. The pool itself, was very easy to maintain, and our 14yo enjoyed the responsibility of checking the chemical levels in the pool each evening! The surrounding area is very beautiful and it was great exploring the woods and the cycle/footpaths with the dog every morning (all very clearly identified and marked by the Vendee department), I found a total of 5 6-8km walks without having to go on any roads - many of which were shaded which was a blessing in the warm summer mornings. The hosts were very easy to contact and very responsive, and any issues were addressed and sorted quickly. We would certainly book this property again."
