"Booked and paid for Hotel on the basis of there being a restaurant for dinner( as shown on website) as we had driven 1000 kilometres by car. Upon arrival was informed kitchen not available for dinner. Also at breakfast there was a dog without being on a lead wandering in breakfast room and reception. I had to point out more than once that I have a dog allergy. I wouldn’t stay here again. "

The kitchen was well equipped, the lounge and bedroom comfortable and the outside garden space a lovely place to relax. The town is very pretty with lovely riverside walks and opportunities for fishing. There were plenty of cafes, small shops and an excellent supermarket nearby. Living next door, the host was very helpful. The area itself was great for walking, picnics, fishing and we found different places to go each day. Walking by the river and finding places for our dog to swim was a particular treat as was the quality of local restaurants and the friendliness of people we met. "
