"Last minute booking in the near dead of winter. Unexpected wonderful surprise that it was a Chateau of sorts more than a hotel but the owners were absolutely incredibly kind, accomodating and helpful despite not speaking much English. "

"We very much enjoyed our stay at Villa Cigalo. The property is well set out and cared for, and it's clear that Valerie is intent on ensuring her guests have everything they need. The kitchen and utility room are very well equipped and there's plenty of space in the dining and lounge areas. The beds are comfortable, there are plenty of towels and the shower by the pool is a bonus as is the air conditioning in the villa. It's useful to have the shaded areas in the garden along with those in direct sunlight, and the pool is a good size for a decent swim. We had not been to the area before and the villa location was a good base for exploring Provence/Le Gard. The only thing missing for us was a restaurant/bar within walking distance of the villa although Valerie is not accountable for that! We would return if we were staying in the same area and learned from Valerie that a number of her guests are returners which is a positive sign about the property and experience that she offers."
