"The cottage was a lovely place to stay. The property was very quiet and presented exactly as the listing described. We had everything we required and everything was clean and tidy. The pool area was lovely. There wasnt really anything in the village but the nearest town was only 10 or so minutes away. There was a supermarket and petrol station and a market. "After initially staying for 10 days we then went to the Dordogne for a week. I wish we’d have stayed here the whole time! Still you live and learn. The gite is very clean, well equipped with a lovely modern bathroom and kitchen with plenty of space to park your car. I have to say I’m a bit fussy, bringing my own bedding and towels but I didn’t need them here. The pristine white bedding and towels were changed every 5 days. "This property is a peaceful shangrila. Our hosts Barbara and Kevin couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. The property is an enclosed peace of paradise. After cognac tasting, going to the local farmers market, kayak races and wandering the lovely village of Jarnac we always looked forward to returning to our gite. "I don’t even know where to start, Kevin and Barb are just incredible. Wonderful hosts with an amazing property. "We weren’t disappointed by this property at all. We stayed for 3 nights while attending a wedding . I will say that this place while soundproofed, is not quiet, you can hear people in other rooms. The beds could be a bit more comfortable too. Other than that, our room was clean, the staff were friendly and spoke English. The location is beautiful, we loved Jonzac and would return. "
