"A lovely place to stay. Very friendly, very clean, great breakfasts - especially with Tom's useful hints about places to visit - and a lovely pool. Not under their control obviously, the only downside was the lack of restaurants around. But the kitchen facilities were brilliant, and the supermarket was only a short walk. The bus stop is really close, and the bike hire was great. A car would give you access to more eating options."

"There is a chambre d'hote feel to this little apartment at the rear of a house belonging to a friendly young family. Occupants have use of the garden and private access via the back of the garden. The ensuite shower room seems brand new with excellent shower. I think this is a new venture for the owners and there were some "teething problems". There was no obvious access to free wifi and the owner never mentioned it. Perhaps some printed instructions would have helped. There was also a problem...

"This B&B is extremely special and I would highly recommend it. It’s in a beautiful location with a terrace overlooking the Charente river. The rooms are spacious, perfectly clean and the pool is lovely. The hosts are so friendly and made our stay (over my birthday) really special.
