"This pensione-style accommodation is an authentic Ottoman era house right on the doorstep of the Old Town. The room was very small and the ensuite was cramped which made for a claustrophobic feel, but the hosts were very friendly and one night gave me a free meal! And the position was perfect, I think fine for a one-night stay but beyond that there are better options."

"This hotel is in a traditional Turkish noble families mansion. You enter through a massive walled gate and immaculately kept garden before reaching the hotel door. The decorations and furnishings throughout the lobby and rooms takes you back in time and relaxes your spirit. The staff is wonderful and ready to make you feel like a noble guest. They have the most wonderful restaurant. It’s a easy 500 meter walk to the magic world of old Safranbolu. Our mistake was to only have one night there."

"I decided to stay at Nimet Hanim konagi because of the central position of the guesthouse in Safranbolu. It is within walking distance of the bus station, the centre of town and a 15 minute walk to the tourist area of Eski Carsi. I entered a beautifully presented guesthouse. It is like stepping back in time. The attention to detail in the interiors is gorgeous. There is a beautiful courtyard garden space where you eat your freshly cooked breakfast. You have the company of your hosts. their dog...

"Very charming hotel in the middle of the small town of Safranbolu. Family owned property with very welcoming people and wondeful breakfast. Rooms are very comfortable and nice. I highly recommend this hotel."

"This beautiful old ottoman hotel is beautiful. The rooms are quite basic but very clean and comfortable. The aircon was brilliant (it was very hot while we were in Safranbolu) and we had a lovely view from our room. The buffet breakfast was a fairly typical Turkish breakfast with plentiful options and we were very satisfied with it. The location is fantastic with jus a short walk to all the action.
