The house was comfortable and peaceful. I wasn't in the home much during the day but the evening hours were very comfortable. I LOVED the whole house fan -- it was perfect for the season. The house was well appointed with anything you'd need for cooking, eating, and resting. The backyard was a relaxing spot for a cup of tea and some quiet morning time.
There were 2 people in our party. The beds are very comfortable. This home is located in a very quiet neighborhood and close to Folsom and Natoma Lakes. The kitchen is well stocked, just bring your food. There is a lovely deck off the back of the house and no houses are built behind the house, it feels like you are in a tree house when you are on the deck. The owner was very accommodating. I was visiting family in Granite Bay, will definitely book this property again should I be in the area.
Our family appreciated staying at the home, as it was close to other family members. The neighborhood was nice and decorated for the holidays. We did have some initial confusion as we had changes in our plans, but the owner worked through it with us. I loved the view from the back deck and being close to some nature. Overall, it was a positive experience.
beautiful home in a lovely neighborhood w/ a friendly community, accessible hiking through backyard and through neighborhood, beautiful lake natoma is very close. it was peaceful and we had a nice restful stay. home is very big, and very affordable for what's offered. enjoyed the deck out back and the little nook upstairs. water is hot and excellent pressure. John was very communicative and kind- even mailed back my lunchbox that I left at the house. would love to come back some time. thanks again!
In the past, I have always booked with Airb**. This is the first time I have used Vrbo. To my surprise after placing my 7 night reservation, the home owner called me to introduce himself and thank me for booking. That was very nice, and it put me at ease. Jim is a very pleasant person and he was eager to help with anything if needed. This home is very roomy, cozy, warm, and welcoming. It had everything we needed and more. The linens and pillows on the bed are very comfortable. We slept undisturbed throughout the night. It is a very quiet and safe neighborhood. My 84 yr old mother and I took advantage of the Bald Eagle nesting trail that is located about 10 doors down, and YES we saw the Bald Eagle and her nest! The view from the back bedroom, and wrap around porch is AMAZING! I absolutely loved sipping my morning coffee on the deck while watching the deer and birds in the back yard. I will post photos, if Vrbo will let me. We will definitely stay here on our next visit to Cali if available.
For the most part the house was clean. The beds were very comfortable and the bath towels were very nice. We arrived late Friday night and the house was cold. We turned up the thermostate, but by morning the temp in the house was down to 54 degrees. We notified Jim and he came over within a half hour. He gave us 3 space heaters, but told us since we were only staying for 3 nights it wasn't really worth getting someone there on Saturday. If we were staying a week he would have someone in to fix it at the beginning of the week. When we returned to the house Saturday night after leaving the space heaters on all day the temp was still only 58 degrees. A fourth heater had been left at the front door that evening, but unfortunately when we tried to use a space heater in each room it blew a circuit. We did not have access to the breakers, so we had to contact Jim again. Jim was very responsive again and came over within a half hour, but we were a little frustrated with the situation. It wasn't until Sunday night (our last night) that the temperature in the house was comfortable. Jim was very friendly, responsive and appologetic, but we didn't feel like the situation was handled professionally. We didn't have access to the breaker box and a repair person should have been called in on Saturday.

The description of the house needs to identify the quantity of stairs in this home. Both my husband and I are over 70 years old with back and knee issues. The description of the property does not indicate every room is on a different level with anywhere from 3 to 5 stairs to climb and no handrails. Also, the description doesn't say the main level bedroom is locked off. The central AC does not work, and the one HVAC splitter unit, positioned near the entry, is not sufficient to cool the upstairs bedrooms. The host really should add a gas grill on the patio. On a positive note, the location is very quiet and the wildlife in the backyard was nice to watch.
Overall good and convenient for what we needed. Quiet neighborhood. Lots of stairs but that’s indicated in the online pictures. There is NO hot tub or spa tub so not sure why it’s on the property details. Would have been nice to have a box of Kleenex/tissues somewhere. Took a few days to get Air conditioner figured out.
Jim is an excellent host! The house was in a very nice neighborhood and quiet. My family and I felt like we were at home. I would definitely stay there again. The home was well accommodated. One question I had before booking, was if the host was going to be in the home while we stayed there, and the answer was no. We had the house to ourselves. Thank you Jim for allowing us to use your home!
