"My meal on Sunday evening was the best I’ve ever had, and the service by Rula wonderful and friendly.. room was delightful and breakfast delicious hot and perfectly served. Excellent choice the only problem was when paying generally with Hotels.com I pay before I leave home and can use my Keycash points but as Mellor took funds on leaving the deputy manager didn’t know how to use my credit which would have covered my meal. "A fabulous little gem. The bar man even fixed my broken heel! Now that's going above and beyond. The lovely ladies even made My dog his own sausage for breakfast. Beds were comfy. My only issue would be it's a little bit cold in places but it's a old building whose owners (not staff) need to give it a bit of TLC "

"Lovely hotel/lodgings. Beautiful bathroom! Nice and warm room. Cosy fire at the bar which was nice and cosy . Tastefully decorated. The food looked gorgeous as it was taken past us going to the restaurant, and we will eat here next time. ***Big shout out to Phoebe, our breakfast waitress. "Amazing. Right from the start the staff were friendly, polite and welcoming. Food was delicious - we ate at the hotel for dinner - having the 'pigs' in blanket sharing starter and then both steak pies. Next morning - breakfast was great - although there was no 'bacon' for us - the server compensated by offering us additional sausages - so it wasn't too much of a disappointment. "

"This hotel was fabulous. A lovely room with a fantastic view. Nothing was too much trouble for the proprietors. A lovely breakfast to start the day. We were lucky that when we got back to the hotel after our friends daughters wedding reception we were treated to live folk music in a well stocked bar. A lovely relaxing end to a delightful day"
